Sounds like bill gates cut a deal with mtv. Good for him, the gamer market is so enormous you'd have to be retarded not to cash in.

Sorry, but you can't compare cs 1.6 to cs: source COMPLETLY DIFFERENT GAME.
The gameplay is so much different when playing on a team, not pubbing like a cal-i.
Yes graphics are great, but most of the community still use a bad computer these days.
Cs : source is so boring, that's why the major pro gaming of CS still at 1.6. CPL & WCG events are running both games, but the level of gaming is much more intense cs 1.6.
And it's free =)

What are the differences between CS:S and 1.6? And I'm not talking about competition, but gameplay itself. I always hear people say there is a difference, and then they run away and never explain it.

I can't really believe DA disbanded ... they are the heart of smash. But considering they still play smash I still consider them together. What was the reason for them breaking up anyway?
I was doing good on PGT until I took 2 weeks off then I played again the other day and lost 4 games ! Still hovering at C- though.
PS. Luigi is top tier

there were internal issues with like killaor and xjapan drama blah blah blah read more here! http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=59469 http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=59546
and slightly more on topic if anyone cares killaor (in this mtv vid) talks about in the second thread there like one sentence how the producers skewed the footage to make it more dramatic etc. make it look like killaor was the one running the tourneys actually that contributed to the drama zzzzz
in summary: mtv sux

Does anyone know which fitness center killaor trains in? If its Ballys I wonder if I've seen him there b4 o.Oa

Pretty Cool Show. I never knew American Gamers can make $60,000 a year.

couple days old topic maybe, but i just watched a rerun of it tonight, and while i sort of agree with the people who dont like the perspective of gaming that MTV is portraying, ie. the crap between tsquared and the other halo player, dont you think that the 'cool' image that MTV is giving to gaming can only help its popularity? i mean, we always talk about how our society isn't accepting towards gaming and thats one reason why progaming isn't flourishing here as it is in a country like korea, so wouldn't you agree that this is a GOOD thing for gaming? mtv makes gaming look 'cool' ---> more ppl do it ---> progaming is established. of course its not that simple, but a small step i think.
