SC is bigger than CS when it's best players are getting paid hundresds of thousands a year, yes? I don't think any CS players even have a steady salary, or at least a significant one that they can live on.
In addition: where is that graph that shows how completley SC dominated CS (and like, everything else) in terms of players playing it?

and i don't awp at all in 1.6
i'm not saying that this is necessarily characteristic of everyone who plays, but coincedentally the best player i know (cal-I+ level at 1.6) uses the AK religiously

there are plenty of teams that are paid for playing cs full time in germany.
of course the industry is not as big as in korea, its not small either. the only thing missing is tv broadcasting ... to explain the difficulty in that would take a shitload of time, i really have no intention to spend now.

there is no such graph
there was a chart on www.progaming.de once that showed overall players in various games.
but while its easy to determine the gamercount on battlenet, its much harder to track everyone down in a shooter game. they all play on third party servers, and if these servers are not authed with the masterserver, the masterserver doesn´t recieve any playercount. and believe me, many cs servers are not authed for one or another reason.

During the 2004 Australian WCG Prelims a girl CS team tried out. They were all goths. They lost every match and only won 2 rounds. I heard 20-30 of the rounds they got no kills. Some of them were ok looking. The Clan leader was really fat.
