The game is ok, and fun to play at times, but how can a game be good on the long run when it is stuck in the same metagame for what now? more than 1 year? Seriously, it would be sad to see a game like that take over a game like SC2 or SC:BW, where metagames shift weekly. What do you to keep the game fresh and the matchs exciting anyways? The skill cap is already very low (compared to BW or SC2), and if you just keep adding champions weekly or monthly, the game is only gonna become imbalanced, not entertaining. If a MOBA (or whatever is the correct term) was to become a #1 e-sport in korea, I would have though DotA or HoN had a better chance because of the skill cap, number of viable strategies, etc.

Yeah, it's taken over in PC Bangs and is more accessible due to it being new and free, but I don't know about being a bigger e-sport in Korea than Brood War.

As a jungler is so essential though, how many possible ones are there, anyway? I guess if the champions that are able to 1v2 better on the sidelanes become increasingly popular, a 2v1 midlane might become a viable option.

Modern FPS, console ports,F2P but P2W, Facebook integration,DLC, MOBA's, Farmville, Angry Birds, the new JAG is crap, Elder Scrolls feel like Empty Scrolls, storylines and plots are ever worse, the StarCraft made with competitive side in mind is worse for it than the one that was not. Graphics are better but there's nothing to show. Don't hate me, I know, time to unplug the interweb. User was warned for this post

Games like Dota, Sc, Quake, those are real esports. LoL is just a a casual game with a lot of money.

I mean yes the gameplay is rich, but it's a lot less viewer friendly than SC 2. How can one stand watching the same 3 races being played over and over and over... again. Doesn't make sense as an argument? Well darn! Maybe it's the 5v5 combination of 94 heroes possible that create the gameplay experience. Not to hate on SC2 because I like SC2 as well. And for some reason the lot less viewer friendly game is pulling out 2 or 3 times the viewers SC2 does, explain that (to Blizzard)..

LoL being the #1 moba is like if Red Alert 3 or some other shit RTS would be #1 RTS when we have BW, SC2 and WC3. Moving away from the esport thing, LoL is fine for casuals that just wants to have fun playing. Since it's the easiet moba with a shop you can buy cooL stuff in I totally understand that people like the game. It's just brilliant by Riot how they managed to get it so huge and so huge as an esport, respect!

Its a very easy game to jump into and have a good time. People need to realize a game being difficult and fun are two different things. Most people play games for fun.

What LoL is, however, is a dumbed down clone of DotA with mass-market appeal that will (likely) allow it to always have an audience in the free market. To me, the game isn't worthy of being put alongside gaming's elite: BW, DotA, CS, Quake It is a fun, casual game but not one I want as the flag-bearer of e-sports. Can't you do maths ? 4v4 is 4times more difficult and skill based than 1v1 ... I agree that LoL is funny and nice to play but it's really boring to watch.

It's there they can show their true potential as a player and with their team. It's a hard game but it's also the best game in that genre. Ask yourself why the best teams in DotA shit on LoL as a game. LoL being the #1 moba is like if Red Alert 3 or some other shit RTS would be #1 RTS when we have BW, SC2 and WC3. Consider that there's probably like 1000 times less players in DotA2 than in LoL currently and small-ish LoL tournaments get maybe 100k viewers. Maybe wait until the game is released? I'm sure that it is going to do fine as well.
