Ask yourself why the best teams in DotA shit on LoL as a game. Actually, most Chinese DotA pros have been fairly level-headed about LoL when interviewed about it. Some even play it a fair bit in their spare time.
Oh, you meant the best Western teams? Because there's an enormous difference.

It's the sc2 more casual than BW argument again(only reversed).

Just like how Soccer, Football, Baseball, Basketball and Hockey can all co-exist, SC2, LoL and DOTA2 will co-exist. Can't believe it's the second time I will do that in this thread(cause its so offtopic lol) but I have vowed to correct it everywhere I see it. So here it is. It's called football. You should call it "association football" in order to avoid confusion.
Socialist football maybe

Personal tastes aside , a game that has a 30+ million pool to a game that has less than couple of millions active ( sc2) and it makes you wonder why that is happened ?
Further more as an active lol player i can tell you that can be as complex gameplay wise as sc2 can even more in depth. Ofcourse sc2 takes more skill to play cause is the nature of the game which requires lightning fast reflexes.
Tbh claming that meta changes to sc2 every week but it doesnt into lol is a joke thought rly considering that lol has over 90 champions and only a hand full are been used effectively , lol scene is rly underdeveloped compare to sc2.
Also as a non sc2 player anymore i can tell you that sc2 feels to me way more stall and repeatable with only a handfull of viable builds in the top tournaments ( who can forget terrans spam 1-1-1 few months ago all the time for instance ) and way less balanced than lol
The big difference is that lol requires team fighting and co-op and viewers seem to like that , than just seeing 1vs1 all the time

I've played both DOTA and LoL and while I see why people might like LoL more, I still prefer DOTA.
SC2 and DOTA2 will be my esports. I don't mind LoL being there too, there is plenty of room for everyone at the moment.

I also really hate watching LoL or Dota...i mean, i watch them, and get them, because i play them. But they will just never attract a casual viewer the way sc2 can.
However, you can really tell that (in west) LoL/Dota2 are taking over... Randomly checking out their streams of IEM, i cought 100+k viewers....we never got anything like that in sc2. Already you can see on Dendi's stream similar numbers that Idra is producing these days...

Ranked ladders? I have friends who played DotA/HoN who played LoL for 2 weeks and hit top 10 on the LoL 'competitive rankings' just to prove how big of a joke it is. The game is completely dumbed down for casual play and almost every competitive aspect of DotA was removed for the making of LoL. When are YOU and the rest of the LoL fan base going to realize Riot games is simply sucking up all the profits they can.

Okay i think i can explain why LOL is so Famous with a little part of my life ^^
6-7 Years ago i played every day Wc3, i followed the patches and read all about the game, i had the Dream to become a Pro in this game.I was spending two Years of Laddering all the day, i dont became a pro, i was good yeah won alot had alot fun, good time good memorys, but i dont became a pro, then sometimes i played some MINI games Costum games to get warm up, or when i was to tired and scared to get a lose. Then i found DOTA my first games was awful, i was so bad, i remember my first game there is nearly a tear coming out from my eye but the smiling in my face dont let the tear out
I was soulstealer was tanking creeps buying recipes asking mates where do i get 1 wood using ulti while full hp his ulti swap the hp from a enemy hero hehe and getting flamed by 4 guys who just wanna have fun and win my Stats was like 3-30 or something like this. Then i played it every day to warm up, it helped me alot with my Hero Control in 1on1 Ladder, i got better and better. Then it reached the point where i started to get really really good in Dota, i knowed all about the game, the items the heros the map the bugs all, i knowed all about the Game. And it was a damn good feeling i was a PRO, i dont earned money with the gaming, but i nearly screamed when i missed 1 last hit or denie i done nearly every game first blood, and if i dont gone GOODLIKE i was suprised.I learned the game so fast, because 1on1 Ladder is so hard, and it need much multitasking, Dota is Chillout in opposite to 1on1 Laddering. And there was something i never saw before, patches patches patches.Ice Frog was like he is hearing what u say and feeling what u think about the game, if there was a bug or an imbalance, the game got fixed instant, there was a tons of Patches new heros new items hero fixes balances ui/ai/visual improvements and many more things. It was like the community is a big ball near each other everybody knows everybody and it was like a big FAMILY.That was the thing wich made DOTA so FAME, it was ICE FROG it was his way 2 make the game, its like release a beta game, and finish it together with the people. And LOL is using the same System then Ice FROG, with alot more money and alot more support. Its the near to the PEOPLE, its the fact that the game isnt complete and growing from DAY to DAY.OKay Sorry for my really crap english i hope somebody understand what i wanna tell ^^

I have never played LoL but I think it's good that there is a game out there that can be e-sport and attract the big casual mass.
Big props to Riot games.
And soon Valve wants to join the fun.
I wish SC2 could grow to be a bigger e-sport than it is but until bnet changes to get the masses to play it's not going to happen.
LoL is the perfect example on why the casuals needs to play the game in order for it to become a successful e-sport.

Opinions and also thanks Bnet 2.0

A sad day for esports indeed... all my hopes are now on Valve. Please don't screw it up.

Riot = supports LoL as an e-sport, helps promote the game as much as possible. Blizzard = sues OGN/MBC for royalties and takes them to court.
As much as I hate MOBA games, Blizzard deserves this for being greedy pricks. Fun point to make, Riot has poured money into E-Sports and lookie here, it bears fruit.
Blizzard wanted to make money of e-sport frm the start of, interesting difference

Here you can find where you stand in comparison to the rest of the playerpool, for instance. There's no such thing in SC2, which is my point. The rest of your post is pointless lies. Go become a millionaire with your buddies.

This is good for esports.
Blizzard needs to support SC2 though, they're letting it lose momentum. Stream views haven't grown in months, and Battle.net2 is still trash compared to WC3 Battle.net.

Its free, its fun to watch... the only problem is the huge lack of individually required skill, which makes me think its a very bad representive for esports.

Yea god damn those F2P games sucking in dem profits mang. You know there's players at the highest level of competition who have not spent a single dollar in the game? Not that that is a bragging issue itself, but to say Riot is all about squeezing money out of the game is simply ludicrious. Compare Riot esports to Blizzard for a moment and take off whatever-tinted-glasses you are wearing.

IdrA isn't even the #1 FP streamer anymore. Stephano have been getting like 17k-20k or something for the past week.
