boil 2 eggs first, add them to the bowl of ramen. cut the eggs in half and mix the yoke part into the soup for flavor (i mainly do this cause i dont like eating the boiled yoke) let yoke dissolve into the soup.

sometimes after the ramen is done boiling, i add 2 raw eggs in and let it sit (the yoke is still watery)
make sure the egg yoke doesnt break apart as you pour it into the bowl.
when you begin eating, break the yoke above the noodle.
the noodles are coated in egg yoke! nom nom nom!

occasionally, i add lettuce, seaweed if any, sliced hot dogs, sliced spam, whatever was leftover really. but the egg is a must!

Cook it in a pot.

Add spring onion, egg and some kind of sausage (I use small chicken sausages).

It's great with Shin ramyun (Korean kimchi ramyun).

Fry onion+pork in a pot with a little oil
Add white mushrooms
Add bamboo shoots
Fill with water
mix in the Shin Ramyun spice, soy sauce and whatever else you like.
This produces several portions, so prepare the actual noodles on the side, or just boil them in the soup and take them all out, leaving the rest of the soup for the next meal...don't want to be leaving noodles sogging in a soup. Pretty far from actual ramen but it's good heh.

Why would you spend any effort on instant noodles, it's crap food. Anyone who has actually eaten real ramen in asia knows that it's futile anyway, adding eggs and shit won't make it taste like actual ramen.

If you want the ramen to taste better:

Boil water in a pot, and at the same time boil water in a kettle or secondary pot. put ramen brick in, wait for it to just barely loosen, drain initial water, rinse in cold water and drain again, place seasoning/oil on noodles, put boiling water into the pot again (however much you prefer), add whatever extras you want in.

I find it gets rid of the extra starchy flavour from the preserving process.

i throw in cheese, turkey, pickles, salt, pepper, garlic powder, red chili lime powder, the chicken flavor packet, and sometime soy sauce. i eat this every tme before gsl. seeing as how it's 30 min till gsl i'm gonna prepare a bowl now

or instead of ramen, which is unhealthy and disgusting, why not make some nice pasta really quickly? prepare the sauce while the water boils, the time to cook the pasta is perfect for letting the sauce rest, healthy, filling and much tastier.

All you need is tomato puree, sliced tomatoes (both of which you can get canned) some basil (fresh or dried) origano, some olive oil, minced meat, worcestire(sp?) sauce, garlic and finish with a dash of milk or fresh cream to give the sauce substance. it costs about 5 quid to make, assuming you dont have any of the ingredients (which are usually common in a kitchen) dont forget salt and pepper.

takes about 10 minutes, you can make it for lunch in a big batch and have enough for dinner, or make a lot of sauce and then use it for loads of other things, like lasagna and such add tabasco sauce for extra spicyness.

What are you talking about? Real ramen noodles (i.e. not that instant stuff people tend to refer to) and pasta have almost the exact same nutritional values.

I only like Sapporo Ichiban, with maybe some green onions and a slice of pork (no egg, yuck). I wouldnt mind a spicier one but I just never liked the taste of any others.

It's the other way round that's unusual: I doubt many Asians regularly eat just a plain block of instant noodle with only the flavouring. You're supposed to add stuff and cracking in an egg/putting in some kimchi/chinese leaf/sliced meat/etc isn't really that much effort anyway.
