Because they don't have the capital to take on all the costs ownership does and it is unlikely that the players ever will amass that much money or successfully pool it. The players aren't going to get that TV deal directly if they can't pay to keep the arena / stadium in shape and pay the coaches and the team doctors and trainers and lawyers and "front office" staff and pay them benefits and pay transportation costs and hotel costs and all the rest of it. It's a lot of money.
For example the highest team in payroll in the NBA in the current season is the Brooklyn Nets at just over $100 million. Does it cost that much to run an NBA franchise? Yeah. It costs a lot more than that.
So are you going to convince the entire roster of the Brooklyn Nets to save 90% of their salary for 5-6 years (their projected payroll drops considerably in the coming years), along with 90% of their endorsement and other earnings, so they could operate the franchise long enough to replace their earnings with the franchise's earnings for costs? We're assuming that the players don't buy the Nets, they just walk out and make their own franchise in a new player-owned league. A lot of start-up costs would be involved as well, and it's not like the NBA would go down without a fight...
Athletes make a lot of money but they don't make enough to operate a league that a TV network would be willing to pay hundreds of millions or billions of dollars to. There'd be too much risk of the league being financially unstable. Unless they got some major investors, it could maybe work then after a lot of struggle.

Thanos is a marvel villian, a comic figur, with the goal of anihilating everything. By doing this he wants to attract death (death is often shown as female entinity). Yep, he really is crazy. But what does he do when he reaches it and everything and everyone is anihilated? Will he sit on a rock for the rest of his life? (he is immortal btw)
Bang death for eternity, obviously. Isn't that the stated plan?
Sure. But that means -death is an actuall person you can actuall bang (and not a humanized metaphor) -death will fall in love to Thanos and agrees the banging, which isnt clear at all, more of his insane imagination....otherwise its just raping..

Why wouldn't death fall in love with him? He gave her a whole universe as a gift. Or as a contract? I guess the question is if deathing is more of a hobby or a job for death, because if it is the latter, she probably wouldn't appreciate some asshole coming in and dumping a whole lot of work on her desk.

Well, death could just use her Mistress Death form to fuck him, so that should be fine. As for the second issue, I don't think much raping would happen. Death in marvel is omnipotent, so I don't think Thanos has much of a chance.
I saw an alpha/beta gameplay of a game about 2 months ago and now i wish to find, but i can not remember the name. The game was MMORPG where you build a castle with tower defense type stuff and you have a character as well. So you go around and try to break into other ppl castles. If anyone knows the game or can give me a clue how to find it...

Shit I lived and raised in korea until 7 and then i left to study abroad, I always thought that koreans treated foreigners, especially white people really well... guess I was wrong. I guess not all Koreans appreciate white people as much as I do

I remember that but have no idea how to find it. I remember it was essentially propaganda to stop korean women sleeping with so many foreigners since apparently that is so common? The whole thing portrayed white guys as people who just come over and try to sleep with the women and leave iirc.

Ahh, the one that was aired on MBC? Can't find the thread, but I'm pretty sure the clips are on youtube.
As an owner of a new puppy who nips the crap out of everything, I beg the question...Is there more than doge?...Is there more than bite??? + Show Spoiler +
Does anybody remember that really old (like 2002) show on G4 called portal that was like a comedic mix of soap-opera inside video games?. I just remembered it the other day and wanted to watch some, but there's only like 7 episodes on youtube and nowhere else. You can't find any episodes from the show anywhere it seems!

Why is Sunny Hostin (the former prosecutor who appears on cnn a lot) have such poor judgement? I'd have hoped prosecutors would have more accurate judgement about things, but she seems really biased and to tend to think people guilty on really thin evidence a lot of the time.
Isn't that the prosecutors job, though? If there is a reasonable reason to think that someone might be guilty, they get put onto trial, which then decides IF they are really guilty. So prosecutors should have a much lower standard to think someone is guilty then a judge.
I prefer people to see reality accurately. A prosecutor who thinks someone is guilty (even if they aren't) can still do an awful lot to harass a person without violating the law. It also increases the risk of innocent people being imprisoned. I'm fine with the standard to charge a person being lower; but when they're not acting as a prosecutor, but as a commentator, I dislike it when they evince such a clear disconnect with reality.
When people wonder why innocent people get put into prison; pointing to prosecutors like this would be accurate.
Hmm, does anyone know a music video from the late 90's that was quite popular, rock/melodic metal sounding with the word 'Pain' repeated a lot, like "Pain,, something something something, Pain,, something something something" etc.
The video is quite recognizable, it features what looks like a Jawa Sandcrawler traveling through a desert landscape and the long haired singer trapped inside.
Been over fifteen years since i heard/saw it but somehow a memory of it was triggered and now it itches my brain. I didn't even think it was that good but now i'm surprised i'm unable to find it.
