The point is, they constricted their freedom of movement during battle on horseback for a dubiuos and intangible advantage. I came in pretty much just to comment on what you said... U said the wings are useless.. war is a lot about freaking out your enemy.. in Vietnam the Vietcong used to mutilate the enemy soldiers after they died just to psych out the enemy soldiers.. it was pointless to do so , and if they where doing it and our troops found them they would have been dead, but they took the time to do this to freak out the enemy soldiers like I said. This has the same purpose The wings look useless to you because we see them just as wings. But in those days the more fierce you looked helped. Psychological is a WARFARE ... u say useless but that can help win battles. Also war crys you dont have to scream when ur going into battle as a warrior , but they do to make themselves seem tougher, and to make it sound like there is more of them. On a Samurais helmet / mask some of them have horns coming out of the top like the devil would... they didn't serve a point in the battle, but it made them look fierce and scary. Ninjas didn't have to wear masks... Vikings didn't have to drink out of there enemies skulls... Hawaiians warriors didn't have to have tattoos on there face... I mean I can go on and on about these type of things. You say "useless" but in enemies eyes it made a point. | ||
