who is bane?
You could look at DC wiki although it might make you more confused after reading it, just know he's smart and uses a special kind of steroid that he pumps into himself called Venom. Batman seems to have more trouble fighting him directly than other villains. For example Joker is not that bad in combat, but has nefarious schemes.

Hehe isn't that right ^_^
Anne Hathaway as Catwoman...omg NO that's one actress I could never stand watching her films, why is Nolan always casting unattractive 2nd rate actresses in his films that aren't really good >_<
The rest of the cast is GREAT, maybe they'll pull off as mesmerizing and convincing performances as what the 2 previous Batman films delivered, besides that I'l be 23 when I watch this, 5 days after the release date :/
you can question her ability to play a action chick but calling her unattractive is pretty harsh, she's gorgeous, and just like people all attacked Nolan's choice of selecting Ledger for Joker, we all ate our words, lets give the man some credit.

ohhh shit i think i remember bane now, was he in one of the movies?
he was in Batman and Robin. you know, the one with poison ivy and arnold schwarzeneger as dr freeze. George clooney as batman and chris odonnel as robin. tight butt suits. lol
Cotillard is going to be a love interest of Bruce, and it is rumored that Robin Williams will be Hugo Strange.
As far as the draft is concerned, Dr. Strange will have to wait for the edits (if at all).
In regards to the interesting side notes, Nolan reuses actors in any role they see fit because he is a good director, as does Scorsese and many others.
No. Some directors really have muses regardless of the fitness of the roles. Richie-Statham, Scorsese-De Niro (recently DiCaprio), Godard-Karina, Burton-Depp, Sodenberg-Clooney etc.
The title is a play on words, which is fitting since it's the last in the trilogy. Who knows if there are better titles, but it certainly makes sense in both meanings when given some thought, making it both clever and memorable.
How is Dark Knight Rises fitting or clever? What both meanings? It is only memorable for all the wrong reasons.
Nolan's recent success in films like The Dark Knight and Inception is based around not just "real characters, real villians" (whatever you mean by that), but fantastical plots that are made personal through a tirelessly-constructed world that so many people could believe. For this reason the manual distorting of Batman's voice makes sense, as an obvious voice-mask is a little to science-fiction for the themes.
NO. Inception had to be "fantastical" by design. It's Nolan's own words and really a deft touch. The only way to revive the franchise after Schumacher is to rip it down to its most basic elements, and not the fantastical ones, as you are saying. An academic review of TDN points to nothing fantastical-made-personal at all. Batman and Joker are vivid sketches of the kind of characters that operate on a mechanical context that is premised on contemporary "real life". That is, Joker is a terrorist, and not a villain (in the comics sense). Contrary to ALL previous Bats, this one is a battle between actual resources of the establishment/state (PLUS bats) vs these "terrorists". The agenda is to strengthen the resources of the state against these enemies (hence Dent, and Bats' willingness to step out). Failing at this, the state has to create a necessary lie (which only Gordon and Bats knows) in order to maintain a semblance of order (sounds familiar?). In short, there is nothing fantastic about it at all. Not one superhero battling a supervillain for power or chutzpah. The world is not constructed - it is our own real life world. This makes the inclusion of Bane, Killer, and other characters all that interesting. And please, don't even make that "manual distorting" voice claim.
In retrospect you start thinking why it took so long for people to turn in to agents in the Matrix.
While irrelevant to the point, let me humor you. People didnt turn into agents. Agents corrupted people ONLY for the purpose of eliminating radicals such as Morpheus from the Matrix and disrupt the balance. This is in fact an undesired act by the agents since they need people in the Matrix to support it. Smith was only able to "populate" the Matrix (corrupting agents and people alike) because he is NOT a part of it and has no benefit whether it operates on a balance or not. He only wants world domination, like a virus.
Well at least there's not gonna be any suprise endings. Batman is going to defeat bane the lame way by cutting his venom supply like always, just like every comic, series and movie ever.

Eh...I still can't see a serious Batman movie with the gargantuan form of Bane. Especially if it's for a majority of the film.
Anyway, I expect an excessive amount of interactions with the new cast (because there's three new roles), and I fear that will dry out the characters too quickly. Although there's nothing good writing won't do.

If I remember right, people freaked the fuck out when Heath Ledger was announced to be playing the Joker. Everyone criticized him, and thought that Nolan had made a mistake. I remember reading posts in other forums where people said that The Dark Knight would be Nolan's worst film BECAUSE of Ledger. Turn out they were wrong, eh?
Anne Hathaway is a good actress, imo. Everyone he has picked has played their part PERFECTLY. I think he has a good idea of who can act and who doesn't. No offense ChaseR, but you're not a movie director, so your credibility to say an actress isn't that good is kind of lacking.
Am I the only one who thinks the dark night is overrated and batman begins is underrated? Personally, I enjoyed batman begins a lot, but for the dark night, I guess my expectations were just too high. I actually got bored a couple times in the dark night. IMO, I felt like there really was no big climax in the movie. I'm not saying the dark night was a bad movie. I just think batman begins is better overall.
