In other news, they better hurry up and make a Dark Knight Returns movie before Clint Eastwood dies...
Also unrelated, but I don't think it's fair to hate on anyone for their interpretation of Joker and how he came to be given that he never had any kind of legitimate origin. There was "The Killing Joke" but that was far enough after the fact to be lumped in with any interpretation or reinterpretation - be it Nolan's or whoever's. There is no way to stick to any kind of original source material when it never existed in the first place.
edit: I suppose they could have just made him a burglar who likes to wear clown make-up, but what's the fun in that? I'm really excited to see what kind of angle the movie takes with Bane. Always such an under-appreciated Villain. After "The Dark Knight" I had nerd fantasies that maybe they'd make the last movie about Hugo Strange or something and have Batman's identity revealed. But this will do =)
Hey, the guys in the IGN forums are saying that Bane might be Ra's al Ghul protege and his part of the league of shadows.. His there to finish the job in in Batman Begins.. (they're assuming because of the Bane Chant by the prisoners) is it possible?
Bane cannot be Ra Al Ghul's protege. Bane respect Batmans and know his identity. They even fought together side by side plenty times. He is an individual just like Slade Wilson, which took Nightwing, Robin and Batman to take down.
I'm not agreeing with anyone but at one point in the comics, Ra's actually wanted Bane to be his protege after being rejected by Batman. It never happened because Talia saw him as a filthy brute/probably still love Bruce.
It has been confirmed that a new trailer will be shown before The Avengers in all format (regular, 3D, etc). I'm not surprised because they' did this in in the past for Spider-Man 3 - Superman Returns, Iron Man - The Dark Knight, Thor - Green Lantern, etc. A lot of fans thought it wouldn't happen since both movies are competing at the box office and being rival comics companies.

I'm definitely thinking that.
My guess is the League of Shadows try to use Bane to carry out what they intended Batman to, but Bane actually has his own agenda, and League of Shadows loses control over him.

Nolan will do what works in a movie, particularly part 3 of a trilogy, even if it isn't 100% faithful to the comics.

That being said, the Joker in TDK is actually extremely faithful to Joker in the Killing Joke. Some of his lines are practically taken straight out of it.
The Killing Joke may show an 'origin' for Joker with him falling into the vat of acid, but then near the end of the comic, Joker says "if I'm going to have a past, I'd prefer it to be multiple choice" implying the origin shown may not actually be his origin. TDK was true to that by having Joker constantly changing the story of how he got his scars.
The new trailer is pretty good. Anne hathaway seems a lot more friendly in this one. It might be because in the previous trailer her dialogue is directed towards bruce wayne, while in this trailer(excluding the opening dialogue) she seems to be talking to batman. I wonder if she doesn't recognize wayne is batman, or if she has a change of heart towards him by the end of the movie.
