That dude is brolic. You can get that body by fishing?
These pictures give me chills. What a great thread. As a political science major, it is fascinating to see the evolution (and devolution) of politics over the years.

Buffalo. Nearly wiped out by Americans in the 19th century in an effort to starve out the American Indians. The buffalo survived but had to endure massacres from Americans and Indians as well. Indians, before receiving horses from Europeans, used to drive herds of buffalo off of cliffs.
I went backwards through the pages (up till 18) and didn't see this one.
It's an Afghan girl photographed in 1985 (left). She was revealed in 2002 to be Sharbat Gula. The right side picture is of her 17 years later. That's what 17 years of living in Afghanistan did to her.
From left, Salvador Herrera, 40, from El Salvador, Jose Castillo, 58, from El Salvador and Gerasmo Perez, 63, from Mexico wait for work at a day laborer site in Los Angeles, California, on November 23, 2011.
That mushroom cloud up there is stretching 64 kilometers into the atmosphere. That is well into the mesosphere, where meteors begin to encounter resistance. Oh and by the way, that picture was taken from 160 kilometers away.
the Tsar Bomba (literally, the King of All Bombs); the most powerful manmade device to this day.
This is a comparison to other nuclear bombs, including Hiroshima:
The damage that this bomb can cause is absolutely astounding. With an equivalent TNT number of 50 megatons, it yields an output of 210 PETAjoules. Peta=1000tera=1000giga=1000mega=1000kila=1000 joules. 210 of 'em. The bomb, when tested, was seen and felt 1000 kilometers away from the test site. The seismic shockwave created by this was measurable the third time it went around the Earth (this is not giving it justice, considering it was detonated in the air, and so most of the force didn't make it into seismic waves).
Have you ever tried to take a picture like this? It's so much more difficult than you'd think.
Props to this guy. I hope he lost it in a shark attack.
This indigenous woman is resisting an eviction during a protest of sorts. Her and 200 other people from the "Landless Movement" were occupying private property in Brazil.
Sorry, these pictures might only be worth 100 words. But this thread needs to keep going, it's awesome.

I'm pretty sure the only way to take those pictures is by a high speed camera. That's not all that hard is it?
Pic basically showing that no child can be born as a Christian or a Muslim etc. So it's ridiculous for some parents to say - you are a Catholic child and your enemies are the Protestants, or you are a Sunni child and your enemies are the Shia.

Babies are Agnostic not Atheist lol. Atheism is the rejection of religion and gods, Agnosticism is indifference/indecisiveness/unawareness of religion and gods.

Arguable. Some hold that atheism is simply the lack of belief in a deity or divine system etc. Not the belief that they don't exist. Also some hold that agnosticism is the position that knowledge about the divine is unknowable and the whole argument is pointless since no answer can be obtained. Then again there are people who hold that atheism is the active disbelief in the divine and agnosticism is the neutral ground. But it is just arguing over semantics and dam annoying. Suffice to say babies don't have an active belief that the divine does/doesn't exist so depending on who you speak to they could be either atheists or agnostics. But let's not derail the thread with religion.
Really enjoy this thread, but please refrain from turning it into a religious debate. Even if you suffix your statements with claims of not propogating the debate, you are doing so regardless.

Well it's one way to win a debate. I'll put in my point and declare that the discussion is at end before you can respond. :-p.
