This picture bridges the gap for those that would otherwise be too affronted or apathetic to do otherwise: It makes you consider the choice of a suicide bomber. So there ya go. We call some of them soldiers. The odd man out has a bomb around her body. That's what makes her the terrorist. Even if she was an Arabian male, the bomb is all that matters. I'm sorry that you, at some point, were racist and equated the word "terrorist" to "sand nigger". However, that is not the way all of us think.
My whole point is that i don't think her having a bomb strapped to her = being a terrorist. There's so much background to the wallpaper that could go either way.
You know it's a good picture when people dissagree over it

Idk if you guys are familiar with David Lachapelel but he is a cool photographer with tons of amazing photos, very innovative for his time and has had a wide impact in photography. A little change of pace from the usual nature stuff and photojournalism.

I think the first one does fit the OP, but that's just me.

It's a sci-fi themed Fallout-esque wallpaper. This thread is about real life / real world photographs. Go figure.

Suicide bombers are sci-fi?

You really can't use any personal discretion about it? There's a difference between a random wallpaper and one that actually shows a lot of relevance to worldwide topics shown in other media in this thread. Numerous paintings have been placed within the thread with no recourse, plenty of which weren't just paintings from time when photography was not an available media. Semantics is a silly argument to get into.

Chargelot falls for the thesis trap card: Arguing over inflammatory language instead of the content. 1 down. Millions to go.

That drawing always made me think of Chechnya.
Anyway this isn't right. We shouldn't be flaming each other over the interpretation. I apologize that my views, while unchanged, are disagreed with. Let's get back to the heart of the thread with the help of Banksy

How exactly do you know that she isn't aswell a solider of the opposing side, just using deception to battle the enemy?
And anyhow, how do you decide who is a solider and who is not? Is soliders only those who are employed by a state? If so is the general rule that you are not allowed to fight unless you own a piece of soil? So all oppsitions of a governement is always terrorists meanwhile the ones who currently have the power has the right to employ solidiers to do violence for them?
By this I mean to say that I think you are making things to simple, the difference between soliders and terrorist in many cases very vague, at least for me. I think terrorists often see themselves as solidiers and those who have been victims of so called "real solidiers" most likely see them as terrorists.

I am shocked that you do not know about the legend of the Dragon Balls. When all seven are collected, the eternal dragon Shenron is summoned and you can be granted any wish (including immortality).

Hehe I know this guy!
He was running the "Gothenburg Run" (21 km) and at the start of the race he had a goal of doing the Run in under 1h and 10minutes! Problem was that he had major problems with his stomach druing the whole race. He had been thinking of stopping a few times just to be able to use the bathroom but he thought that "hey, then i defenetly won't be able to beat 1.10.0" so he kept running.
When he had less then two kilometers left his stomach didn't want to be part of the game anymore and the result you can see on the picutre! But he still kept running! With his iron will and diciplin our friend here placed 21th in a race with over 100 000 participants, and he finished on a time of 1h 09m and 43 seconds!
Iron will at its finest!
I love this picture of this old mansion. Really gives me the creeps in a nice, but wierd way.

That's in Italy right? Cus I saw somthing like that last time when I was there. A big "hole" in the ground with some sort of fortress in the middle of a city. Quite cool, not sure if it's exactly the same.

Emotion in eSports, not as dramatic as some pictures posted here, but I thought it deserved it's place. Just so you know: Nani just won right here.

Islam tolerated other religions in times of peace (times where religion could be profitably taxed)
Islam and Christianity both have missionary elements to them. Saying that only Christianity has militant missionary practices is wrong.
PLUS, both religions cannot be seen as single religions... the subdivisions and sects completely ignore, oversimplify, and/or overexpress two works of transcendent literature that are meant to be more than simply literal...
Blame humanity and not Islam or Christianity...
