Is it true? Who cares? It was a decent read. I don't know what some of you expect to get out of saying it was cliche and predictable. So was fucking Avatar and people loved it.

That's not a popular opinion to have in this thread. The not-liking-this-story-is-elitism police are going to come knocking on your door. Then you're going to have to write an edgy, straight-talking memoir about how you actually had 2 kilos of hate hidden under the floorboards at the time but you fooled them anyway and got off Scot free.

read another story about a guy that had OCD and started growing mass quantities of weed in an apartment he rented, paying cash and building a very intricate anti police system. it was detailed and realistic and about how he later on started getting suspicious of others and shit. was a pretty good story. if anyone knows which one im talking about dig it up and post.

“Oh shit,” he says, in almost a whisper. He fires again and shoots the girl in the head. This made me laugh. Overall I thought it was a pretty cool story, a nice way to burn 20 minutes. Although I can't sympathise with the criticsm here - yes, the writing was not fantastic and who cares? Its an internet story a bad analogy for hating this would be like hating on youtube movies that were on a budget because it was not cinematic.

Although entertaining, it reeks of fiction. Nowhere on earth is selling drugs as glamorous and casual as the story makes it out to be. Especially not on the level that this guy was selling. Would make a good movie though. It does however piss me off that shit like this gets mistaken for real life

I understand it's kind of entertaining if you like to glorify drug culture. But come on. On February 04 2011 17:45 Ace wrote: Is it true? Who cares? It was a decent read. Then again this story is just as obviously fake as giant blue warcraft/anime aliens. The difference is that this NYU story is trying to pass off as being real.

Even though drugs might be a popular subject for young writers, it doesn't make it bad, and the story in the OP was enjoyable enough for dozens of us to read through - so I don't think anyone could call it bad. Bad would be Knaak's work.

Immersive? It was immersive enough to enjoy at face value. You shouldn't think too hard when you read these kinds of things. Then again, you must not commit the error of mistaking this for a truly "good read". It was entertaining in a superfluous way. Appeals very much to that secret desire to brush against chaos. To watch, with utter fascination, a fellow human crumble under the influence of an insane force. To observe a morbid game of driving compulsion. It is not aware of anything beyond the scope of the events in the story and the character's feelings. That's why I say it is shallow. Be wary of losing yourself to shallow things.

I love drugs stories, but i am always sorry for addicts that are in them. I read this one with one breath, couldn't stop until finished. Thumbs up
