I know this site requires at least 1024x768 to fit your screen and because we might make some layout changes in the future, i want to know your resolution. Of course i can't add all the resolutions so pick the one closest to yours. If you don't know your resolution you can see it by going to your desktop, right click in some free space and choose properties. Btw if the site fits horizontal in your screen you got 1024x768, if you got white borders on both sides of the site in your browser you got a bigger resolution and if you have to scroll horizontal you have 800x600
p.s. don't expect changes soon, this is just to get an impression!
Poll: Whats your resolution (Vote): 800x600 or less (Vote): 1024x768 (Vote): 1280x 1024 or 960 (Vote): 1400x1050 (Vote): 1600x1200 (Vote): More than 1600x1200 (Vote): I dont know

oh i have first vote i am special

1024x768 is the perfect resolution, 800x600 is too large and your desktop becomes too cluttered and anything greater than 1024x768 becomes difficult to see/click/read

Mine is 1280x800
I have a 15.4 inch widescreen and it works good for me

I voted 1400x1050, but really it is 1440x900, 17" notebook

1280x1024 on this desktop, 1400x1050 on my laptop.

Fuck, misclick. Take one off 800x600, and make it 1024x768.
Meat, you're nuts. 15" monitor with 1024x768 is super tiny stuff. It'd be way too small.
|
i have a 15'' monitor and i cant use anything smaller than 800x600 cuz u cant see shit
btw sites that require u to use 1024x768 or greater suck
|
Origin, this site is made for 1024x768...
|
yeah it looks a bit weird with 1280 :D so much space at the sides
|
1024x768, but bigger at work which is where I spend most of my time on the site.

i've got 800x600...i dont mind having the scroll thingies thougt...i dunno what size my monitor is but if i use a higher resolution it gets very tiny :p
|
btw, you can always use bigger fonts or desktop symbols
|
1024x768 in windows.
Or it's too big.
|
1280*960.
Btw, 1280*1024 is not a "standard" resolution, like 800*600, 1024*768 or 1280*960. The ratio is different.
|
i use 1280x1024, 21" monitor
|
You guys who chose 1280x1024; do you have widescreen? Considering its not proper 4:3.

|
oh btw, im using 1400x1050 on a 15" screen, its a laptop screen so its a bit different, its 15" viewable and not 14" like normal monitors and quality is also different

I have all my icons and fonts the same size as a person with a lower resolution would have. But, thanks to anti-aliased fonts and SVG icons (thx gnome), they can utilize the extra pixels to look smoother and generally nicer. The only thing that sometimes catches you is when people use absolute sizing on website fonts, rather than relative sizing - then you can have some quite small fonts. Most websites are starting to avoid this though, it seems.

I'm currently running 2560x1024, dual-screen setup. One 17" LCD and one 19" CRT, they are equal in size, actually.

None of the above listed.

I couldn't post a reply to the poll.... 1152x864 isn't there

It's not hard to read at all with a 19" monitor.

15" Monitor
am i normal?! :O
60Hz screws up my eyes. Kinda depends on the monitor though, but you should rather use 1152*864@75 (your monitor should support it).
|
1024 with my FP 15" at house and the same res at work with a 17" CRT
|
Because of my cheap and crappy monitor I can only do 1024x768 at 85Hz, which just sucks.
|
1024, i cant believe that someone would use different resolution (well, different size of screen might do the trick)
