I guess it's a bit like norwegian stereotype, but adjusted for more drinking and uglier language. Yeah, I don't mind.

I only had some trouble with Norway, Sweden and Finland. Because there was only a few keywords that would set them apart such as Viking, IKEA or sauna. The rest was pretty much the same: Hot blonds, cold, etc. So, I had to read all stereotypes for those countries. Ah, and Spain too, until I read paella.

And how classy and European it is. ![]() Too bad I can't afford a plane ticket to go there right now. Steoreotypes arent supposed to show reality, so where is the point in arguing about it?

Sorry, but this kind of thinking is absolutely ridiculous. Lots (not all) of the things listed aren't "stereotypes" per se, but identifiable parts of that country's culture, environment, or history. Reggae, Leprechauns, Hockey, Vikings, Kangaroos, Sushi, etc. The stereotypes are the characteristics which are universally applied to all people in a region; like lazy, ugly, or smart. And even if you do recognize the stereotypes which are popularly applied to different countries; knowledge doesn't hurt anyone at all, as long as you realize that it IS a stereotype in the first place.

Netherlands -> I mean how are ppl meant to know about Netherlands? Finland -> I phased out Switz -> No idea, did you know? Korea ->Geeks, kimchi, computer games, eat dog meat, metrosexual I'm offended. Not every korean is metrosexual. I didn't know I was a stereotypical Korean Geek -> I play SC [X] Kimchi -> Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner [X] Computer Games -> I play SC [X] Eaten dog meat [X] Metrosexual [x] So... Every other country stereotypes much be true?
