these are awesome, very light. my only complaint is they have a stiff and raised heel, so i don't wear them anymore. i also liked classic vans or vans slip ons.
i have weird feet though, so now i wear either asics tai chis or vivo barefoots

I just wanted to thank everyone that posted in this thread. It was a really big help. In the end, I decided to get Sperry Topsiders for whatever-wear, and Onitsuka Tigers for athletic things, since I really couldn't decide between the two and they were fairly cheap. I suppose that we can always count on Teamliquid for people to know everything about the strangest subjects? AH you got the Sperrys - excellent choice you will love them. Which pair did you end up getting?
I got the blue canvas one. Leather seemed too fancy for me and I didn't really want on in plaid.

You lot make me feel so old, lol.
If you want minimal, it's all about brown or black leather. Plus, if you're good to them, they'll last forever. Personally, I wear three-hole docs for just about everything aside from severe weather or specialist purpose footwear.

Work with jeans and shorts or slacks, comfortable skate shoe design with a bit of class.
Or, you can always go with the solid choice of Converse All-Stars or some Vans.

Puma Frankenclydes
![[image loading]](http://di1.shopping.com/images1/pi/37/cd/29/44822837-177x150-0-0.jpg) come in all different color variations
The FC's are usually priced 40-60$ and are bit beefier than the Suedes. But they have the same kind of look. Suedes are almost always on sale for like 20-40$ (but usually the non common colors).

tbh, I've had both shoes and I really can't see much of a difference between them. Anyone knowledgeable on it?

Dr. Martens 1461. Wearing them right now. The air cushioned sole is sooo good for walking.
