I'm in Ontario now and I've been noticing that stores such as Town Shoes are starting to carry them for >$100 which is saddening for me. I found some cheaper versions in younger/skate focused shops for ~$40, but the quality was quite horrid in comparison to those I picked up at West Ed. Does anyone know reliable online retailers that carry these shoes at reasonable prices? Or perhaps shops in south western Ontario, including TO?

There's a lot of shoes out there that are much much better, but I haven't really been keeping up with men's fashion trends so I can't namedrop many. Some (<- key word) Supra shoes look pretty nice on guys with biggish feet. On another note, stay far away from chucks.. And converse in general.. they look like clown shoes on men

Somewhere between typical college kid and sophisticated, as far away from skater as possible. Thanks again to everyone. There are a lot of really neat choices; I didn't expect to get nearly this many responses, and didn't expect to get nearly as many different brands. Check out Ecco shoes. They are the only brand that you'll ever need. They make everything from hiking shoes, to sport shoes, to casual shoes, to formal shoes. You'll find the look that you want. They're incredibly durable (out of the 15-20 pairs that I have owned, only one has ever fallen apart) and comfortable, especially if you have wider feet. Also, once you know your size in Ecco shoes, you can very easily shop online to get the best deals on what you want. The only drawback to Ecco's is that they are on the pricier side, costing between $100 and $200 (retail) for most of their products. However, because of their quality and durability, I think they're worth it. I swear by Ecco's and have been wearing them almost exclusively for the past ten years.
