Felt soooo good, heartrate and no breathing for last 15 seconds~~ :D Also about 11.5 : 1 ratio of index finger vs middle on this type of map~ 284 to 27 ^This feels great too, perfect timing for 3 hits (see bottom bar) and dat sound (vid is half speed) Also, osu ranking is quite amusing. I gained 36pp and lost 1 ranking, then i went to another map like an hour later, lost PP and my ranking rose from like 11.3k to 10.8k 33 minutes ago -Aeryn- achieved rank #217 on P!nk - Try [Hard] (osu!) about 2 hours ago -Aeryn- achieved rank #76 on Ke$ha - Tik Tok (Rom.C Remix) [Insane] (osu!) about 3 hours ago -Aeryn- achieved rank #191 on DJ S3RL feat. Old map i used to play! :D This looks ridiculous with youtube 30fps compared to strobe backlight 120hz while playing. I think this is my new vid for laughing at people with when they say 800dpi is far too slow for 1920x1080 :D That's section cut out with +1 ar.. could probably lower it back to 7+dt but it would be a little trickier, adding in hidden too is hard. It's important to SS with relax because if you're not SS, you're either missing notes or hitting them late.. If your cursor gets to a note late and you're tapping in perfect time then you just completely fail to hit the note, so you can break combo's to that all the time http://osu.ppy.sh/s/75606 ^Lunatic diff - finally something that uses both fingers @~155bpm and makes some sense! Sara - Feel The Melody [Hard] (osu!) Gettin' 'em! There has been a recalculation of pp because of a new to be implemented star system (according to tom94, or whatever his name is. He seems to be the osu normal ranking guy, so i think that's pretty trustworthy). Although the details of the new system are unknown to me, i know the effect of this calculation on pp is downwards. As this gets corrected for the major part of the players, it becomes possible to lose pp, but gain rank, if other people lose more pp than you. I lost 50 pp, and heard from others pp losses between 20 and 140 (!). I'm not sure about the gaining pp, losing rank thing. I suspect (but am not sure) that is has to do with the timing of rank update. I can imagine the pp system in it's entirety updating once in a longer period of time (for general maintenance) as well as updating one's profile every time you get a score that has influence on your rank. If you've had no recent scores having an effect on pp in combination with 'unlucky' timing on general maintenance, it might seem you have lost ranks because of gaining pp, but it's more about people around your rank being more active then you are. Especially the second part is largely speculation. But the order in which these changes in rank occured, are a confirmation of my guesses on this subject. Edit: Someone, help! I'm trying to get rid of lighting in my skin or make it as small as possible. But i cant figure out how. The lighting.png doesnt really do what i want. Can someone give me some hints? | ||

I'm fan of osu! but my wrists are dying fast so can't play a lot. Is it honestly possible to play insane on laptops? Just curious because i feel bad when i try. And does tablet really make playing easier? | ||

Also yes you can play insane on laptop. It depends on your posture and external mouse. Unless your using the touch pad in which case it is bad. | ||

Tablets made me rage hard, but other people swear it's thé way to become pro. When i play, i dont feel like im moving my mouse, im moving my cursor, it feels like there is no machinery in between. If that's the case for you, my guess is that you won't gain much by buying a tablet. I can't speak for any other situation, though. | ||

And does tablet really make playing easier? i've always played on a laptop, i'm not great anymore and could never do fast songs but plenty of insanes are definitely playable on laptops. having a good mouse is more important anyways imo - i used to have a shitty wireless microsoft mouse and i was terrible for a few months (couldn't do jumps at all), then i upgraded to a cheap razer mouse and noticed a huge leap in my skill level and accuracy, and then i upgraded again to a logitech g500 which i still use today and am very happy with tablet vs mouse is personal preference, i prefer mouse, other people prefer tablets. each one has pros and cons | ||

Thanks for answering, dudes <3 Having played my first months of osu with mouse and now a couple with tablet I personally have to say it is just a matter of preferance, and 90% of people I play with are mouse players, and they tend to all be better than me so yeah I chose tablet because I messed up my mouse accuracy during WoL when I was stupid enough to go from my 10 years of low DPI and palm grip to 3600 dpi and finger grip, which worked great for starcraft but my aim at everything else is more than halfed. Starting "fresh" with a new kind of way to control the cursor has been very pleasant for me, so I was very happy with my switch to tablet because of that. | ||
