For example, in this map, you can see that the fanzhen difficulty has 100 less objects then the insane difficulty. When you play both, the difference in difficulty is very clear. Note that this doesnt always work. The larger the difference in number of objects, the more accurate this method becomes. (It's pretty dumb to say a map is probably harder because it has 2 more objects out of 600..) I used to use this method when i was less familiar with mappers or with 'insane', 'hyper', 'lunatic', 'extra', etc. Btw, on another subject: i'm looking for some good slow stream maps, upper limit being 130 bpm. What i want to do is practice slow streaming and control by putting ar to 6 and od to 10. Maps i found pretty useful in that way were these two: this and this one. Any suggestions? (i'm not really interested in using half time :$)

Generally mappers will name the easier 5 star maps "Hard" and the harder maps "Insane" or "lunatic" or something. If you're not ready for 5 star maps yet, you'll get a better idea of the difficulty from the stars as opposed to what difficulty it says in the title. I'm ready for some but not for others. I play mostly 5 star maps nowadays though. By the way, I've played some <5 star maps which I found a lot more difficult than many 5 star maps I played but maybe that's just me being retarded. BPM and object number in same songs I realized myself. Not sure how reliable the former is though, and I haven't paid too much attention to it yet. I'll take a look at approach rate etc. It's actually really not a big deal, I can just try the map and see pretty quickly if it's too hard or not, I was just being curious more than anything. I could only stream 170 bpmish (until like 20 notes, due to stamina issues, lol) after i played nyan cat like 50 times, while i at the time always played 160-190 bpm maps. Except for speed or stamina issues, i've never noticed the same effect the other way around. Actually, when i get faster, my normal speed stream quality declines, so ill have to get that control back. In my view, one should always practice streams in this manner: get faster -> improve control -> get faster -> improve control etcetc.. And the best of improving control is in my view, is practicing imunity to ar changes, and practicing slow streaming. So, for me, becoming better at slow speeds is an essential part of becoming faster. Partly i'm not one to talk, because i suck at streaming, and am quite slow, but i really think it works this way. Of course, this is all imo. ![]() edit: haha, i'm doing pretty good, lately. Slow streams are going pretty nice: + Show Spoiler + You wont believe it, but that was #31

How are you recording Yorbon? I love using shadowplay record (or OBS) for recording live gameplay because the osu recording of cursor movement (for spectate/replay) is actually terrible, the sample rate is far far too low and it has some weird behaviors

It's probably because it's kinda tricky a bit, as well as just the length. It's really hard to FC a 4 minute long map unless you're really quite comfortable with it, in my experience How are you recording Yorbon? Although the difference in play is small, it's enough to annoy me, so i just don't do live capturing.

It took me half a year to get into insanes and wasted 3 months on trying to play tablet, which is really not my thing. Personally, i feel most important was my mindset: there are almost no bad maps, every aspect of the game is trainable and last but not least; practicing consists of both pushing your limits ánd building consistency @ maru: My skin consists of elements of various skins (Credits go to yuugo and cyro for supplying me the necessary parts). So it's not really uploaded anywhere as far as i know. I don't know a good, virus-free file uploader, so you can either suggest one to me, or pm me your mail address. I assure you i won't be sending you any spam, or sell your account to spam senders.
