Also, how did you start using more than one finger to mash the keys? I find that I'll only be using my index finger if I make a mistake and it's just a reaction more than anything. For everything else that isn't a stream I just use my middle finger. | ||

i normally play songs through to the end, unless im trying to fc it, where i hit retry n fail like 10 seconds in again. either force yourself to alternate, play slow stream maps to improve your control or just single tap everything but streams. all works. | ||

for me at least, playing a deathmap where i die 10 seconds in doesn't teach me jack shit about improving, but other people in this topic have had some success with that approach so just find what works for you i can't offer any advice on the 2 finger thing since it felt natural to me because i came from stepmania and played spread, so i was used to alternating taps between my index and middle fingers | ||

As for improving, personaly, I play stuff beyond my skill level like MME. If I can't pas it, it's good practice as far as I'm concerned. If you find that normally you just play the same difficulty of stuff and only play stuff you can S, or A at least, then try playing stuff you find harder, stuff you might only be able to B or C. If you mostly play stuff you can only B and C, try stuff you can't quite pass. And if you do play stuff outside your comfort zone, never give up. Play as hard as you possibly can, play like you're angry at the map and just want to do as well as you possibly can on it. If that doesn't help, try a different approach. | ||

I've been doing a few maps with no-fail on just to speed up really. It's been working pretty good so far, although I'm going to have to try and be more accurate on slower maps from now on, since I tend to just move over to the next point really quick without thinking too much. | ||
