Fun map. Also fun, though i was over 99% before the last ~30 seconds when I started to choke. xD But I don't understand why it wasn't a FC, can you lose individual numbers of a combo in the middle of it somehow? Because in the replay i got to 1039x, but the score screen says 1038x, and max combo is 1040, but last 3 notes are all singles so to break in the end would give an X and didn't happen. :/ | ||

Probably what happened a few times. Look for 100s on sliders. | ||

And is it as simple as copying it into a folder within program files? Haven't had any SS yet, Best performance I've had is S & FC on flutter girl. And just broke 90% yay! | ||

Though some songs can override this skin selection, which is retarded, so you'd have to directly copy/paste your skin into that song folder to force it to use the skin you want. Just find a skin you like, a few have been posted in this thread and there's a section on osu forums full of skins. You can mix and match elements of skins if you find a need. | ||

Yes, you just put the elements you want into the c/program files/osu/skins in a folder named what the skin is named. And then select that skin in the options in game. Thanks! The mod I use is Focus 1.1. It's extremely clean and easy to see stuff. One thing I like about it is that it converts your cursor into a glowing blue ball, so you can actually see where the cursor is. As ThaZenith said, some beatmaps have custom skins, so you can just delete whatever offending element (think approach circles, crappy splashes etc). If you really want SS maps, just go play 1 star beatmaps. Using it now, gonna see how I like it. I'm not a diehard GOTTA SS. I just want to get my first 5-star map SS'd, and I have literally been 3 green hits away from a full SS on one, just lacking the gusto to keep pounding it beyond 10 tries. I have fun on the maps that challenge me but at the same time ... aren't just D's after a bajillion tries (Renard-Banned Forever, Dragonforce-Cry for eternity ugh). Not gonna do a 1star SS just for some strange self-satisfaction. Wish me luck! P.S. Really looking to have fun while cementing a high-APM handspeed (Force myself to zxzx all stacks, left mouse single hits & sliders). | ||
