(It might only be competing against yourself, but it still counts as competitive) The mindset you talk about is the casual player mindset. In your case, the real question is do you have more fun doing really well on harder stuff or on easier stuff? Will being able to play harder stuff, and play it well, be more fun than staying where you are? If the answer is yes, it might be worth improving yourself, if the answer is no, then it's not worth it to improve. Very true. I'm not trying to say that playing for self improvement is better than playing casually, I'm just outlining the mindset and the methods I use to improve. Like I said, I have fun improving. When I started playing osu I almost gave up because I felt like being unable to play the insane maps took away from my experience. Even though I was playing at the edge of my skill, I wasn't satisfied with what I could play, and wasn't having a lot of fun with most maps. Even now most maps I can pass aren't "fun" for me the same way that playing bullshit hard stuff is. | ||

Edit: With DT, I got 95000. Somehow, DT makes the spinner score go up much faster. | ||

Wasn't implying it was fast. But better to be slow and enjoy the game, than play hard un-fun stuff and quit cuz it's gay. And I don't think I was all that slow in improving. To each his own.  | ||

Agreed. Streams suck. I just skip any beatmap with long streams lol. Seeing "300 300 300 100 300 50 50 50 miss miss..." really sucks. Especially when I'm only clicking with 1 mouse button (if I use 2 buttons, everything gets messed up). | ||

Anyways, i've been slowly working my way through the hard version of "Aerodynamics girls and boys song" and theres this really annoying looking anime girl that keeps popping up. Im not really sure what she does or means, but shes really annoying. Is there any way to turn her off, or replace her with a less annoying one? | ||

I'm going over 200+ new maps every week, trying to find the best and most fun ones. I upload my runs on them, mostly to showcase the maps.
