Mandini dies and I just say, yeah I'll warp out now. And so I did. Thats because the harb was going after me, the less expensive target :p

So you guys think PLEX prices will reach 500m+ before end of promotion?

Major whelp. They had setup a camp on the Saranen gate in 93P-I, and after luring me into it in my arbitrator with a baiting hurricane, I decided that something had to be done. The call to arms went out, and I managed to muster the small aforementioned crew. I was still working on a battleplan when I saw an opportunity for us to hit them without being scouted (or so I thought,) and I took it. The fight didn't go well. If I'd kept my head and given clear orders and kept us communicating, we could have gotten a few kills and escaped without losses, as the Mordus guys play was pretty suboptimal, but instead everything sort of went to shit and we lost a blackbird and a cane without landing any kills. At this point, Kwark heard our semi-frantic chatter on comms and joined in, providing us with another drake, dual t3 links, and - most importantly - a lot more eve leadership experience than I have. Round two took place in EC-P8R. They had returned to their usual hangout - the Torrinos gate and had proceeded to setup shop gatecamping. This allowed us to begin the fight at range, which makes things a hell of a lot easier than trying to jump into them at 0. Although we lost a couple of ships due to bad piloting, for the most part, things went pretty well here, with us clearing out a large portion of their fleet before conceding the field and going for repairs. We engaged a third time and dropped a few more ships before they retreated. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=10923038
Outnumbered any harder? x.x
And yet you still destroy them :D Nice one.

Just renewed my eve subscription again and decided to make a second account for mission running whilst my main continues on his path towards Blackops..
However, I've never actually spent any serious amount of time on solo missions. Are there any tricks for skipping level 1's and 2's or at least blowing through them quickly? Seems like a waste of time to do 1's in a BC.

Find a good corp you want to mission for and buy standings. Since standings gains are spread across everyone who is getting mission rewards, you just sit in station and/or salvage while some mission runner keeps you in fleet and shares rewards, while you pay him for the LP that's getting shared as a by-product.
To make that go even faster, training Connections to 3 or 4 will give you in that early range a pretty big boost to standings, and since you only need 5.0 to run level 4s, it's pretty easy to get.

Its also possible to find bad missioners (who will of course do missions slowly) but that dont even realize the value of LP and so you only need to give back the ISK reward. This can be a good way to get standings while afk.

If you can fit a Covert Cyno, you're doing 99% of the work. Never train Cyno V!

And the funny thing is, that 5% does not include ANY of your pilots in an actual black ops ship.
