The corp standings update once a week to the average of all players with non-neutral (anything but 0.0) standing. The standing needed is the sec rating * 10, so 0.5 requires 5.0 standing with the sovereignty holder (Amarr, Gallente, Caldari etc) and 0.6 requires 6.0 and so on. I believe you can't anchor in 0.8 or higher. For low-sec you don't need a charter (I believe CCP removed or plans to remove the need for 0.4 charters) but for high-sec you'll need them, but as far as POS fuel goes the charters are cheap. I ran a POS in a 0.5 dead system for nearly two years with a full battery of defenses placed in a diamond pattern around the shield and myself having Starbase Defense Management IV. I mostly did research and storage there. Never got war-decced. | ||

Bah, I didn't even think about connections not working, I need to do even more storylines :| Pos fuel is only 100 mil/month, and the guy I'm going to do this with actually does PI, so less, and charters are "free" with my lp. | ||

check OP dude, you're supposed to start a 14 day trial, go into the HATCHERY PUB (is that a recent edit, i seem to remember it being something else) chat channel and request a director. the director should, if you're accepted, set you up with a mentor, who will send you the 21-day trial. | ||

Anyway, ive been roaming into IRC space today, however after the first jump i was immediately camped in by about 10 people and had to logoff. A few(6+) hours later i log in and the system is clear, but 25 in local in next system :-D I notice a mining party consisting of 4 hulks and an orca, so i jump my drake in and warp to the belt, killing one of the hulks. http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=10353949 Then hell breaks out and people warp in. Cane myrm harb dram land and i get pointed by the cane, but can manage to outrun it and warp out (at 24km, fucker didnt bother to overheat point) but had to leave my drones on the belt. I warp my covops to the belt and notice that theyre not going for my drones, instead theyve warped off and try to probe me down, so i warp my drake back and pickup my drones. Unfortunately they have way to much stuff by now (ares dram harb cane cane ishtar kitsune manti myrm myrm noctis onyx rook stiletto tengu) so i had to logoff again. Id like to go here with a fleet of 3-5 people with skrimish links. It is 30jumps from saranen but the way is very clear so it should take max 45min to reach destination. Anyone up for it tomorrow? | ||

I guess there is still small chance of survivability so it would be worth it if you know death is imminent. | ||

Keep in mind there are lots of ships in the game now days that fit a cyno on them or have a 30 man blob behind the next gate so if you lose a thorax, it's no more than 15 million isk down the drain. Not a huge deal compared to losing a deimos (which imo is only useful as a sniper hac) b) Black Ops ships are amazing. We (0utbreak) use them ~a lot~. I would say train for some Mega Pulse IIs. Train for Garde IIs. Train for 800mm Repeating Artillery IIs. Not all three at the same time, ofc, but whatever race you want to fly. Abaddons with Scorch L are pretty sexy. c) Primae sucks and is a useless piece of shit. d) Syndicate was fun the last time I lived there. It's probably not the same as it once was, but a good learning environment. Stimulus (Rote Kapelle) will give you a hard time, but you will learn many things from those fights. Delve might be good as well with Morsus Mihi now in the area as well as I believe the region is still bugged when it comes to officer spawns (they appear far more often apparently). | ||
