Well its hard to know what is actually common sense in a game of flying space ships as I assumed that most of us do not come from a back ground of flying real life space ships. I apologize if I took some liberties with what you meant as common sense. In my experience, majority of fleets fail because people try to prioritize themselves (self preservation) over the fleet and don't trust in what FC tells them to do. Which is where my argument that I would FC myself if people could follow orders. What types of things would a new eve player know aside from warping out if they are about to die?

Nothing, thats why we keep them in rifters for a while. Even the ones who are 5 years old but just joined us.

A nanogang needs to know how the orders apply to them because a lot of initiative is required. It takes good situational awareness and a lot of manual piloting. The FC can't give individual orders to every component, they need to know how to fly and make smart decisions themselves.

If this experience is what FB meant by common sense gained after a period of time than its just an argument of semantics I suppose and neither of us were on the same page and both of us were correct. Also some one just dropped a ton of underpriced contracts. +150 mil me.

Day 1 Assets: 354m isk Liabilities: 300m isk Wallet isk: 11m isk Things started off well today. I realized that the contract refresh thing is absolutely not a problem, since I found a work-around that allows me to refresh 5 times every two minutes, as opposed to once every two minutes. Along with searching courier contracts, this means that I'm never waiting on the EVE system to roll over and let me refresh. The new contract interface seems better. It's faster, it's easier to search for items, and it's easier to break down a contract with multiple faction items. As you can tell by my balance sheet, I made 54m today, buying some Sisters launchers and some Fed navy tracking links. Nowhere close to what the gosu mission runners in corp make yet, but I'm doing my best. Also, no one with a lot of isk is on, so I have to wait for a loan. Nice this is going to be interesting to follow. You can actually get even more refreshes in if you also add searching by "longest left" in your search rotation (since most people put up for 2 weeks)... this cuts down refresh time again :D as well as using the other "tricks" that you are talking about.

EDIT: On another note, I just found a 4x stacking error on a Gist C-type Large, netting around 750m (2 plex), and that took only a few seconds of luck. So its possible to just sit in Jita and make money, although its not very entertaining and takes some starting capital.

If only I didn't go to sleep for an hour and a half I could have snagged this contract too ![]()
