If you genuinely are a Starcraft and TL fan, you can still apply. You'll just be subject to a quiz to make sure you're who you say you are.

I'm skilling towards the Standard Hurricane pvp fit in corp fittings. I have Engi and electronics V but I haven't found a good idea of what other support skills are good/essential to have. Could anyone give an idea of roundabout what I will need to run the fit / fly it effectively.

Check corp tab, it has links to Evemon files that are skill plans for either Drake, or in your case, Hurricane.

As a n00b here, can someone explain what happened in that battle? Now I understand kwark don't want to bring bad people to clutter up the comms and mess up, but you don't learn anything without asking.
From TS it sounds like you guys warped in on the Lachesis, killed him with em damage and the have rifters point everything and just killed them all while one ship warped off due to a rifter not calling point, but that is a very crude way of viewing it. All the alignment, probing around, range control and warping is lost to me being nowhere near the grid.
Would it be possible to bring a cloaky ship and just passively observe the fight at 100k or something? It beats showing up on the field clueless, and doesn't demand anyone to baby sit.

Obviously. He forgot to mention having to train "Manning up level 5" so that when you get into a fight you don't panic, not point anything, and warp out when only yellow boxes appear everywhere.
