With the job done we left the field and started scooping our 700m loot. Deathstar magnanimously said we could keep all we killed as they took no losses and the op was a piece of cake. ANZAC got the rest of their fleet out (if only we'd had a proteus with 5 scrams, a cyno and 600k EHP) but the damage was around 2.2b. Job done.
I dont get ANZAC anymore, how do you log in day in and day out and still think its a good idea to be in that corp? They literally get smashed whenever they undock anywhere near odd.

At least when the rockets got buffed, it made the Vengeance actually pretty fun to fly. Haven't kept up much with the game as of late, so maybe rockets suck again... but I'd give em a shot :D The problem is that they are harder to fit that autos, also I have no rocket skills which is a problem. Rockets do decent dps when you have web but it isn't great. However the auto cannons do poor dps unless you are in thte face of the other frigate, and the vengeance dosnt have the speed to do this.
Rockets are probably the best bet if I can fit them though because I don't need to control the range to make them do damage, it's time for some serious EFTage when I get home.
Or I could just shove lazors and a cap booster on because scorch imba, man my vengeance is going to be looking quite retarded when I'm finished with it :-).

Don't have rocket skills? Mang L2Noobfit skills.
Or at least, when I was a noob, I thought rockets were THE SHIT and I trained the hell outta em XD

One of them sat in a cruiser slowly dying to gate guns (having been given prior orders to align out and warp if in any danger) and then got down to low armour and finally said "should I (no indication of who he was or situation) warp out?". I said yes so he started to align and died a few seconds later. The second tried to brawl down a baddon with two guardians in a nanocane. Apparently in ANZAC the FC tells them how far they are from the target and how far they should be and when to back off and when to get closer so although he knew what he was doing was stupid and he knew he I didn't want him to do it he was waiting for me to see that he was fucking up and tell him not to.

I am no AF expert- but i was looking to get into this
[Vengeance, Vengeance fit]
Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket Rocket Launcher II, Thorn Rage Rocket
1MN Afterburner II Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I 'Langour' Drive Disruptor I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Small Armor Repairer II Thermic Plating II Ballistic Control System II
Small Bay Loading Accelerator I Small Bay Loading Accelerator I
6.94 EHP 150DPS Cap stable for 17min with everything running 861 m/s for speed
Of course you can drop the rigs for trimarks and the bcu to create a really tanky frig- but i like having some dps But the retribution does a tank so much better- too bad it only has 1 mid QQ
|
That is something like I would get, however I do really like the dual rep with a cap booster, however it lacks the web so you could do something like put a mdw+long point so you wouldn't lose targets, also you could fit range rigs so you could hit from 15km, however I really need eft to see how good it would actually be. Also the problem is that dual rep fits costs alot of money if you want to pimp it so I may go with just 1 rep and fit a cap booster so but make sure I have the nanobot accelerator rigs, but it does look like I will have to train rocket skills (or I could use lazors as cap isn't really a problem in a cap boosting vengeance with 1 rep.) I just won't attack ruptures in it and it will be fine.
Also active armour frigs NEED a damage control, trust me on this.

I prefer MWD + AB over AB + Web, if you can fit it. With an MWD + AB, you have the MWD for high speed when needed, and the AB when you get scrammed and to cancel out a web (AB + web = near normal speed). AB + Web is very vulnerable to being kited.

Those rigs are pretty retarded, why would you deliberately stacking penalise yourself.

Uber and I did a "angel red light district " together and got a cynabal bpc and overseer effects. Got a profit of 230 mil which we split 50/50. Not bad for a night of probing, and certainly a lot more enjoyable than grinding L4s (though the income is very inconsistent)

Tbh in a vengeance if your being kited then you can tank the damage that you are taking, my dual rep vengeance can prema tank a dramial at zero on me, also it could probably perma tank a rupture that isn't neuting me.

We're noob friendly because we let you in. Once you're in you're treated like an adult and required to keep up, required to be competent. That doesn't mean you will be competent, you'll fuck up and you'll get bollocked for it. But you won't get kicked for it, you'll still be required to keep up the next day until one day you can. There really is no alternative because no corp which actually knows what's what (0.1% of corps in eve) wants brand new players, the tl connection is your biggest asset. What you have to understand is that wherever you go now, what they tell you will simply be wrong. Whatever they say on any subject, wrong. Just the way it is.

I'm not much of a fan of active tanked frigs, especially without a dcu, youre going to bleed into structure and die before you really get a lot of ehp out of repping. Also youre double screwed vs people who use neuts. Furthermore frig battles are all about range dictating virtually any other frig with a web will be able to escape that slow of a frig.
In other news less than two weeks and I will be able to fly the most obnoxious jag fit ever.

not wanting to feed this anymore, but at least.... i think we were at the point where it was more than clear that noone was trying to brawl down an abaddon. i was too close to station, i realized when they undocked, and by then it was too late, since it was "point" by them, order to gtfo by us, and thus leaving me being waaaaay too close to them (my bad), with all gateguns and them.
my bad positioning? yes. trying to brawl the abaddon? in a different universe, maybe. I am going to leave it at that, because its a pointless discussion to have over and over. It was my mistake. Done. You FC unlike any other FC i have been with, and that is not just ANZA, that is really any. So its a matter of getting used to it.

You were pointed? So you were in scram range of the undock? If it was long point you were less than a good over heat cycle away from getting out.
If it was scram then you were most definitely so close to the undock that the only logical answer was that you were prepared to brawl them out.
I dont anyone actually thinks it was in your mind to brawl but your situation only makes sense if you meant to brawl them, hence everyone saying you were trying to brawl down the abby. Therefore to remind you of how poor your distance setting was people will refer to what you were doing as brawling.
Also yes kwarks fc is different than other corps because our fc is not retarded like 99.99% of eve is, for proof checkout www.battleclinic.com under fittings and any forum at www.eveonline.com, the people of eve are slow therefore many of their fc are slow.
