The question wasn't the "standard" minimum, but rather, the "this shit may just hit the fan and an MSE Merlin may be worse than a sub-par Drake" minimum. As in, at what point does a below normal standards Drake not become a liability when things are atypical.

Nav, accel control, evasive man all at IV Heavy missile spec III/IV Guided missile precision, missile bombardment, missile projection, rapid launch, target navigation prediction, warhead upgrades all at minimum III quickly heading to IV Shield management, shield operation at IV Battlecruiser IV Of course it also depends on your piloting skill. If you're good you might be allowed to fly it earlier (with some less vital skills at III) whereas if you're losing ships all the time you may find yourself in a Caracal more often. ![]()

The main things I can't do are T2 Weapons and Drones, and my missile supports are mostly 3s in the ones accessible before T2 missiles. I was more asking about what sort of numbers on a drake, between EHP/DPS/Speed would at least be more useful than an MSE Merlin in an abnormal situation. Edit: And I guess I shoulda specified I was hoping for an answer from KwarK, since it'll be his call most of the time, and I already know the "normal" answer.

1st would be eve online holdem: http://www.eohpoker.com/ Free-rolls everyday 100m purse split top 6 or under, best thing is it doesn't cost you anything and for my 1st plex I made about 120/150m from free-rolls. 2nd (this isn't as good as it use to be): someone has, or use to have, a referral code in the hatchery so ask about it first SOMER Blink: lottery site with a free roll system to win ships deposit low maybe get lucky still worth a shot in my opinion my time frame from my first month: Ninja-looting and salvaging around emol (hatchery was based out of emol so this would be more Dependant on yourself and not others since they have moved), playing the market around rens (buy low sell high), 0 isk to plex in about 9 days with a decent amount of time invested. Blitzing lvl 3 slow lvl 4 missions under a month with a t1 drake, but they took some time to complete equated to plex # 2 Now 2 months in I play once or twice a week and can make a plex in about 5 days without trying doing lvl 4s and nabbing the occasional contract. Not a rich man but I am self sufficient and waiting until I can be active and play again.

I was hoping for something fitting that context, as opposed to the usual standard, which, like I said, is all plugged into EveMon. Simple Version: Merlin=Boring. Crosstraining=Time away from Drake Training. Want more interesting option for PvP than Merlin.

Flying a Rifter / Merlin certainly isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but it's part of the learning process. It's also a necessity. So you until you have put your time in (combined training + confirming you're not a HERP DERP pilot) you'll play hero tackle. Like I am. :p Besides, if we weren't around, Kwark wouldn't have anyone to sacrifice to save himself. Think of yourself as part of the greater good.
