Turret animation is easy because it is an object with a "hardpoint" on the ship model, and it has simply its orientation towards the center coord of the target ship.

This isn't a troll, I just hate the ease of use of the term lag when people mean slowdown, and its client side calculations and not networking thats causing it.

missiles cause more lag than guns. never said the contrary here.
but we were talking about the implementation of animated turrets, not whether a missile per se does cause more lag than a projectile salvo.
In my previous post I didn't try to argue for missiles not causing lag. I was trying to depict, why an animated turret wouldn't need to cause any additional server load and hence no networking lag.

Ineteresting post you linked though, I learned something new, even though it wasn't really related to my post.

Sard just 'cause of falcon'ed some dragoons but it was a small fight and most of their shit was fast and we had no tackle so we only killed their bcs which couldn't escape. Glass went to a gate with a gcced rifter and died. Such is hatchery.

I miss you guys out in k-space. Wormhole life is tough it seems that avoiding making isk out here is nigh impossible as almost every button is now a click to receive money button. Even my half hearted PI set up that I did with virtually no research will still make me nearly 600m/month. I even resorted to making pictures out of building placements.

Our ceo got trashed today on comms and we managed to get him to play russian roulette with wormhole collapsing, almost nabbed a machariel running c3 sites but landed just outside of point range and he bugged off, other than that made obscene amounts of money.

I tried EVE once upon a time but since I was playing solo I never really got into it once the 14 day trial passed. Now I have a chance to get into a Corp. from the beginning and have a community around me I think I will don my pilots helmet once more
