The 5 probe method is only potentially faster than 7 with exceptions of maybe some of the easier to scan anomalies out there.
Generally speaking though on the anomalies youd want to bother scanning down anyways take two extra seconds to move 2 probes half an inch down is worth it over a long term average of speeds. You'll never miss a signal after a resize or get an obnoxious circle to deal with that couple with the fact that most times youll be dropping scan resolutions multiple strengths means in the long run you'll save time, and this matters if your scanning on a regular basis.

Lost an amazing 6 drakes to gunpoint diplomacy in some of the biggest displays of stupidity I've seen in a while. Those who were there have been spoken to but for those who weren't, today was a truly awful day for us in terms of fleet pvp. Some staggering levels of incompetence from individual fleet members.

So....I just bought about 50+ sister's expanded probe launchers and hundreds of sister probes. Time to crash market yes?+ Show Spoiler +
The person I bought it from must've been Kwark's alt since he told me he does this every 1-2 months or so. I do believe I've found Kwark's secret money making scheme.

Speaking of probes, heres the daily probing update on my little experiment:
Current isk in wallet: 206mil Current SP: 238,129
Days been pretty slow and apperently there are other people running around probing because I started this and I get a feeling that theyre stealing all my radars. Also incursions are disrupting my probings in some areas, radars wont spawn in systems with incursions (or maybe they do and I just didnt find any).
Teamspeak has been funny with talk of pokemons, how to put drones into your drone bay, general probing discussions, and alot of complete stupidity. Remember: Its not just a destination, its a race.

Some of your guys were scrammed needlessly, though honestly our Falcon pilot was pretty stupid lucky. They were good fights. Pity about the Scimi not being in position for you as well.

I'll be able to fly a 'cane after downtime, yippee!
Now I just have to, you know, learn to play the game and all.
It's really easy to still be clueless, even after having "played" for 2 months, when you mostly only log in to update your skill que

KB is back online. Seems like it was a widespread issue with killmail.org because I tried checking other boards hosted by the site and they were down too.

Fast forward 10 min and we killed that rattler plus in my zeal and hurry to dock up and log off I lost my rifter (Sunday Girl, you will be missed) to station guns cause I forgot in my rush that I wasGCCed lol.
Live and learn and a rattler for a cheap ass rifter is never a prob xD. Great first two days on EVE haha. Two mil to start you off gets you a long way.

On an unrelated note, we were missioning and got probed down by the worst helios ever. It took him over half an hour with mwd on and furies loaded. Naturally we dropped a can at the warpin and placed a scram web rifter there. Unfortunately in the rush the rifter didn't have ammo. Alvin offered to get some so I took him up on that (hatchery regulars will see what I did wrong). Alvin returned to local with ammo about the time the combat scanner probes disappeared so I told him not to warp in because he might meet the helios in the first pocket and spook it. The helios appeared and the rifter scram webbed it and we called in the ammo. However, after a long career of failjumping into systems where we were probing down missionrunners that we didn't want to scare Alvin had fucked off. After being the recipient of dozens of "if you don't know, ask" rants he had decided that it was time to stay out of local. The helios is unarmed and we're holding it but alvin has gone and doesn't come back for a good five minutes without offering any explanation. Eventually the helios gets a friend in in a cane and kills Lee. Very frustrating.
They were the stupidest "probe a missioner" gang I've ever seen. The helios couldn't probe down a sig radius in the thousands and then warped into the mission and decloaked himself a bunch of times. The hurricane took ten minutes to get there. It was terrible. And yet they killed Lee, the good rifter pilot.
Alvin is the worst corp member I've ever had.

Just failed to kill a shield tanked rokh in armour because Gem doesn't understand how calling points works. I clarified with "I need a point on that rokh" but he didn't think it was relevant to him. He followed this up with blowing up a huginn wreck filled with loot while the pod, which was locked, warped out.

Had a good fight with a gang of around 7 drakes, a manticore, two myrms, a gila and an ishkur. Opened with a GCCed rifter taking a quick trip through hisec, to his detriment. 0-1 We ganked a drake to bring it to 1-1 We then tried to kill a myrm off a station but it was triple repped and we started a drake fight at a belt at the same time. The drake fight started in a really messy way because the rifters were all "HOLY SHIT NO GATE GUNS I CAN TACKLE" and charged in and then their fleet warped to their drake at 0. We lost a rifter quickly, not to the enemy fire but to the station he warped to, 1-2. I hit the field and we started nanoing off and exchanging volleys. Our three drakes, harb and rupture against six drakes and a manticore on the belt. We took a drake down quickly but our rupture (not scrammed, or webbed, with links) somehow died. Having spoken to him about this he said "yeah, I forgot to burn out". Then asking him why he had thirteen thousand faction ammo he said "yeah, I forgot to dump them". So, we took a thirty million hit because the rupture pilot is retarded. 2-3 Their manticore did a suicide run and we wiped him out. 3-3 Another drake did another suicide run and got isolated and taken down by our drakes to take the lead while yet another rifter scored an own goal with the gate guns to make it 4-4 They started getting the fuck out with the gila burning at 3k/s so we finished off the remaining pointed drake and held the field to make it 5-4 win. Then an ishkur warped in at 0 so we killed it. 6-4 Then a myrmidon tried the same trick. 7-4
So, our total losses to enemy fire were a shield rupture holding three times its own hull cost in faction ammo. Our total losses to stations and gates were three rifters. 280m of shit blown up.

Basically there were combat scanner probes on dscan so I sat at 0m/s running my mwd with furies loaded. They took the bait and Karah gleefully told me they were in warp to me so I started moving and told fleet to warp to me. We knew they had falcon, harb and pest (self named) so we were fine. Unfortunately Karah didn't connect the "I can see them warping to you at 0" part with the "there's a fight" part, despite the "WARP TO KWARK" bit so he wasn't actually involved. Equally Gem had fucked off but not left fleet which was a bit shit. So it turned into pest, harb and falcon in the middle of open space with me and three rifters. Furthermore I didn't actually know I was fucked because I was permajammed. I'd called the falcon primary and we had it pointed but it wasn't until the falcon missed a cycle that I realised something was up because it was still on 100% shield.
Eventually Karah arrived and dragoons gtfoed. Words were then had with Karah and Gem. Gem's disappearance was excusable but I have no idea how it didn't occur to Karah that he may need to be involved given he was listening to me bait them on ts and then watched them warp to me. Idiots.
Anyway, we did the exact same thing again, but this time with Gem and Karah. They warped falcon, harb, pest, mega, drake, cane, phoon and a bunch of other shit in on us. We downed the falcon in seconds this time due to there being three damage dealers on the field rather than the one the first time. Then when the rest of their fleet hit grid I called a nano and burn out but two of our rifters didn't understand that they shouldn't stay scrambling shit and left. From there we nanoed beautifully, isolating ships (despite no recons) and taking them down. The only thing that went wrong was they sent a pest charging at us at full speed while the rest gtfoed so we didn't really have time to split points because we'd backed off to keep range on the pest. Also we had a rifter warp to a gate again and two rifters fail at nanoing off. But the drakes flew well and some of the rifters understood.
