We LIKE engaging larger numbers.
But we also don't use 4 reps for each combat ship. Not really sure how being invincible is fun for you. To be honest, Necro is actually REALLY bad at the game. I've watched them fight things they should have killed with ease, and seen them botch it horrifically. Their ship fittings are also very bad, which weakens them even further.
I heard that was a pretty fun war.

Well, to be completely honest, what you would count as your "actual pvp strats" generally result in your corp losing more ships than it kills. Ive already said it, but youre a coward that plays station games in highsec with multiple neutral remote rep, you always know your odds because you know the people you fight, how many you fight, and what ships you fight and you choose your ship accordingly. Your "actual pvp strat" of killing 3month old missionrunners cause they dont know how neutral probing works may be effective isk wise, but you dont learn anything from it. Hands down, despite being few years old you suck at this game or are at least too afraid to mess with real pvpers, because you could lose your shiny faction ships. Keep docking up your ashimmu when a drake comes into system though, it could die if you dont. Wow, really? Dude, ease off, you're being really harsh towards your corp man. I'm sure you at least try to teach your new players about neutral probing, so they should be aware of it. And you guys aren't real PVPers either? That's just downright mean. I'm sure a lot of your corp members would disagree, and I see you guys flying off to lowsec to go GCC and blow shit up most every day. and i'm confused, do i know nothing about how your corp does things, or do i know everything about it? because i'm hearing you say both. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=7704571Wait..youre right we dont teach new people anything. Only few of us actually participate in lowsec roams regularly. And you know which ship what member can fly and how many of us are online (watch list). That is all you need to decide whether you fight or not. What you have absolutely no clue about is how we operate and how we treat (new) members, which makes your opinion completely void.
Lol that was a funny night but in all seriousness the only reason for resulting to log in traps was because we werent getting any fights out of you guys. Desperate measures tbh.

Or funny war... they are terrible with only 1-2 skilled pilots that i know of and 1 being an ex-project nemesis member that was in prons and left prons before i even joined; other then that they are pretty terrible as far as i know.

I know they are terrible, but we still had more fun against them because of how many people they had. As has been said previously, camping 1 guy with our experienced pilots isn't going to happen. We are just going to go to low. And then you pick off one of the newer guys/non-PvP guys/Firebolt.

The necro war was interesting because emol switched hands several times a day depending on what timezone it was. It also generated some pretty funny killmails. (We lost people who were mining 1 system over despite knowing they had people on and they lost a fully wstabbed scorpion on a station to a taranis and a thrasher)
I think the problem, tofu, is a combination between the fact that there is only one of him and the number of reps he has access to. This is further compounded by the fact that widders isnt going to easily be lured off station. Another thing is that in lowsec, or atleast the lowsec some of us frequent, we come across a very similar thing, only instead of logi they use carriers.
In my experience it is actually easier to deal with people that use carriers than people that have a number of logistics ships, partially because of agression mechanics. It also seems easier to lure ships outside of carrier rep range.
To be fair theres also not much he can do outside of using reps in order to sustain a fight. Try to nano and you get shut down by too many drakes, go with a pimped tank and be unable to do anything due to ewar. The only thing left is to utilize neuteral reps. I believe he was commenting along the lines of the options he has; being essentially solo in comparison to being in a gang.

I've moved off the station and all over the place freely on my own a number of times but I never seem to find anything. Hopefully this changes eventually, I'd love to see some real empty-space/gate fights in this war. (The Ashimmu/Dramiel incident sorta counted, but that was a little abortive. Two drakes and a logistics against a lone cruiser...)
And carriers are, in essence and entirety, gigantic oversized logistics ships. As you know they also actually have a shorter rep range than logistics cruisers.
If only they were as easy to dock-up...
edit: this war is also a bit of a nostalgia trip for me, as about 1 year ago i was warring Gunmen of the Apocalypse entirely by myself; they dec'd me for killing a missioner, then dropped it 3 days later when it was all losses for them. after that it was New Age Flying Industries with 1 or 2 friends...
good memories.

P.s. Just registering on these boards to be a smug martyr shouting from his high horse is generally frowned upon to say the least, let alone if it isn't even SC related. Eve revolves around being super risk-adverse. There's nothing wrong with this.
I just find it amusing that certain parties feel the need to deny this. "Oh, I use neutral rep/play station games because I want ~goodfites~, unlike you blobbers." Seriously? As a person whose done a bit of RR high sec shenanigans (...of which maybe 5% was neutral-assisted) -- the only 'skill' involved is predicting how much neutral rep the opponent can bring to the field.
Executed half-competently (hardeners active, your logis don't crash, you didn't engage 12 battleships with a BC, etc.), you stand a 0% chance of losing a ship. (These are better odds than NC MO- gatecamp fleets, which says a lot.)
Please. There's no need to insult anyone by pretending to be King Leonidas at Thermopylae...or Prometheus Exenthal.
