Our current design gives it 3 points of warp core strength, but that is open to change. Once it has left the site that spawned it, the Drifter can live in the system for many days, warping between celestial locations just like a normal Drifter. It is not removed by downtimes. We intend the Drifter to be probable with combat scanner probes, as well as visible on d-scan. Full disclosure: we've run into some technical roadblocks with the probing and d-scan part of the feature. We are confident that we can get it working and there's a good chance that it can be ready for the initial expansion release, but it's possible that it might slip to a point release. This new Drifter NPC spawns at the end of the site even if no capitals have been used. It is designed to be very challenging but to be doable both with and without capitals. It will however be much easier to kill using capitals. Multiple Drifters can co-exist in the same wormhole system and will come to each other's aid if one gets attacked. So, fill your wormhole system with 100 Drifters before an expected attack by people trying to kick you out, free wormhole defense. Or just run the sites and let the Drifter go free to troll the locals. | ||

In the past year I've lived in a few WHs, some solo, some with 1-2 of my RL buddies. Lived in c2, c4, then c3, and most recently in c5. God... with this hax RR rattle setup we could do ANY C5 non escalation site, making around 400m per hour pretty easy, was great. I'm going to be moving back into a WH after citadel. If any TL guys or old heads want to try the WH life you are welcome to join me. I plan to live in a c4 or c5 most likely and put a L citadel up, maybe a M to start. Good times to be had! | ||

First of all: pvp is in a pretty good place right now, every ship class (bar "ass"ault frigates) is useful, so that even new players can have high impact on their first day in fleet fights: - crucifier/griffin/maulus ewar - frigate fast tackle (atron, slasher etc) General attitude is very new player friendly as Fozzie Sov promotes small gang fights over systems that are actually used. This made nullsec alliances take in new players and highsec players to bolster their rank, which would have previously been dead weight (with a very small chance of becoming useful down the line) is now instantly useful, it props up indices and a single newbro jamming griffin is good defense against run of the mill entosis attempts.... The biggest issue for new players is to find isk making that they find enjoyable. I started with exploration since it is low skill, you learn much about the map, where to fly, what to avoid, how to get past gatecamps, and pays decently well if you have good finds. Then i transitioned to anomaly ratting (Vexor Navy) since it was more regular, and i could fit a probe launcher to scan down cosmic signatures that spawned in the ratting system due to the corresponding ihub upgrade. So i knew when a relic spawned -> docked my vni -> flew to the bookmarked site -> hacked -> returned loot -> back to ratting... repeat. Because of my lowish skills and the unfavourable rat type (Sansha) i had like 15m ticks so 45m/hr + relic loot that was about 20-50m per site, and i got like 2-3 sites in the 2-3 hours i ratted. Then i switched to running DED-Sites in an ishtar, i would scan them in a raptor, bookmark them all, and then farm them. biggest drops were ~ 1b but sometimes the depressing "nothing but overseer personal effects" happens. Many new players just use PLEX to fund their playing with and that is fine aswell. One other thing i can recommend (if you do not like to market pvp or scam): ninja salvaging - cleaning up after a big fight, when there are recons commited you often find a faction point on a lachesis wreck or a blingy fc tengu wreck... - general t2 modules are about 1m per 5m³ so with an exploration frig of 400m³ cargo you can loot ~80m in a couple of minutes, issue is knowing where the fights are, and staying safe during looting. | ||

 i was in brave newbies and helped them all the time (fitting, finding something to do etc pp), then i switched to pandemic horde and there i do basically the same thing, answering general and specific questions all the time... just hit me up with an ingame mail to Iustus Perkins, and we sort it out if you want... one caveat: i am personally a terrible solo pvp roamer, i have fun doing it but i am no isk efficient elite pvper i also like being the special snowflake in fleets (ewar, bombing, command destroyer jumping etc) | ||

Several pokes by MBC forces at D2-HOS in Pure Blind have resulted in prompt Imperium responses. The strategically critical system is vital for the Imperium's ability to project power from Saranen into Fade, and will factor heavily in engagements down the road. They should have just let me access my old corp hangar. I wouldn't have had to pay dudes to attack if it they'd just let me get it. (((( | ||

Turns out my CEO, Lemba, the guy who brought me into Goonswarm, has been a spy since the beginning. He was finally outed and you can see on reddit, so my corp<DOKDO> I'm Fine and You is kicked from GSF. The director twizzle who will be taking over made a new corp, Im Fine and you aren't, but the problem is that since original DOKDO is at war we can't join a new corp for 5 days. (edit, apparently we can join the new corp without delay, but there is 20 hours before we are back in GSF so cant undock) So now we have 80 people in corp chat and eveyrone yelling and fighting. One catch, it's all in korean! I can't translate fast enough lol. Also I can't log in my super/titan because I will be bounced off shields and fucked lol. Lemba just sent out evemail explaining he was spy all along and he is going to a new place and wants us to join him and abandon GSF lol. Crazy shit I was not expecting lol. I don't plan to jump ship but this is wild. | ||
