This toon is a bit of a mess. When I started out I was going for a Mach, and I think flew a Cane for lvl 2 missions.
Joined Hatch, got some Astrometrics and scanned a few sites for people. They split the drops sometimes if they were good and gave me close to 600m.
These days I fly a Merlin. Though I am getting tired of encountering a kiting ship 95% of the time. (Firetail)
Where to go now?
I want to be able to fly a SB before Amarr hits T3+ This will happen in the next few months (apparently), so I have time. The base skills needed are Electronics Upgrades 5, and the Race frig to 5 as well.
If I go Amarr, I should stick with the Hound. This means that if I go for an Interceptor, I should go for a Stiletto since it would take another week to get another race Frig 5.
The missile skills I need are for the Scourge Javelin Torpedo. Torpedo Launcher 2 = 20 days (Torpedo 5, etc)
Do I really need to fit the Covert Ops Cloaking Device 2? Thats another 5 days.
If needed, I can fly the low SP version (Arbalest Torpedo Launcher, with Caldari Navy Scourge Torpedo)
Or I could go down the T2 laser path, getting ready for something else.

re: Stealth Bomber... use Arbalest torp launchers, T2 gimps your fit too much. Definitely train for Covops cloak, so you can warp cloaked.

T2 launchers can get higher dps overall, and you have 20 torps loaded per launcher instead of 18, which allows you to finish some missions faster because that 2 extra shots prevents you from having to reload. It's not necessarily a bad thing to train, but is definitely not necessary at first.

I had to fit a co-processor one this one. Some fits out there have a gisti B-Type MWD, which i might try once I learn how to fly this ship a little better.
Also, according to EFT, the 20day version has less dps, but higher optimal range.

Probably not ideal, but it's pretty much the Hound version of the Purifier I use. Lock range is like 68 km with max skills, and missiles with max skills only go to about 60 anyways, so the sebos are not necessary.....
Slicer is kne of the best frigate to frigate combat ships in the game, properly flown very few ships can match it. However after kronos the succubus will be the only thing worth flying.

With the somewhat important fine print that you actually need to be skilled to fly it or have a huge links advantage over your opponent. Otherwise you're likely to have shit results with a Slicer.

You might need a mwd t2 torp bomber for amarr missions because of target painters, shooting at 90+km range

Slicer has a very, very high skill ceiling. The margin for error is small. However I stand by the statement that the slicer is hands down, one of the most superior Frig vs Frig platforms when in the hands of a competent pilot. 99% of slicer pilots are pretty shit.
