I have found that solo plexing in the new corp is a bit of a gank fest. Each time I go to a plex solo, be it small or novice, someone is bound to come in. And when one person comes in, there are sure to be a couple others. No one does 1v1, it always seems to be 2v1 or 3v1 against me. I can fly away I guess, but I dont wanna fly a warp stab ship... The fleet roams I have been in are kinda similar. We roam and pick on people in 10v1 or 10v2 situations and or camp gates and kill people in situations that have the other person severely outnumbered. Is this the way it goes? I wish I had more time back in the day to contribute to TL fleets. I am getting decent at flying this tackle ship, and understand basic fleet commands now. Plus, Kwark never really seemed to be upset when he was yelling at me to do shit. Anyways, I am hoping that if you guys need a tackle Merlin for anything, you can ask me. Cheers, | ||

Cheers, A man after my own heart <3 I've got a great form of pvp for you XD You get 3 guys in thrashers, dual sebo's, 280mm arties (t2 if possible), you will have to either fit small ancil's in the rigs, or a micro auxiliary in the low to make it fit, and a long point.(prop mods are overrated XD ) Then as many dmg mods as you can (gyro in the low, small projectile collision accels in the rigs. EFT it, I'm feeling lazy right now. Then you and said 2 other pilots goto an empty novice at 10. It is best if there are at least a few other wt's in system, unless you are super patient and want to wait for one. You watch 1au dscan (or the shortest you have to, that is clean of potential hostiles) As soon as you get a frigate on scan you call an align to fleet (we usually have it pre agreed where it will be, don't use a gate at 0 to warp out, you will be aggressed) sebo's on, when a frigate lands you alpha it. He will probably be so "stunned" that his ship just got snatched out from under him, that you can point his pod. (don't bother pointing his ship, just get all 3 ships to fire on it) Why does this work? Because of "gate sliding", people know that they can warp to a FW plex at 10, and as long as their ship class is allowed inside and they activate it as soon as they land, a point wont stop the accel gate activation (at least not in a frigate) So generally, even veteran FW frig pilots will warp to novice plex's without scanning them first, even if they see a thrasher they will think (I'll just gate slide). When they land you don't point them, as even if the point lands, they will continue to warp if they have gate slid correctly. The point you fit, is just to catch the pod. Most T1 frigs will insta-pop to the alpha from 3 thrashers setup like this. IIRC its about 1200 to 1500 dmg per volley, per thrasher. The only thing not on the menu is a dramiel, for some reason it never works on dramiels. (to much agility, speed and a low sig i think) But pretty much every other t1 frig is on the menu. Drams aren't very popular anyway. As soon as you get the kill and the pod is popped or escaped, GTFO. He probably has 10 buddies in warp or in the next system coming to help, but they wont get there in time. We've done this to frig fleets, we just pop whatever lands first and warp of. You only take 1 shot, unless you can get the pod safely. You don't really want to actually fight anything, but expect to get some tears in local. "that is the gayest fucking thing I've ever fucking seen" You'll sometimes get caught on a gate, because no prop mod. But o well, expect to lose some thrashers doing this, you are in the ultimate glass cannon. We've killed and podded a LOT of ppl like this. The first time we tried it we got something like 14 ships and 4 pods in about and hour and a half, with 0 losses and plenty of tears. It is less about pvp, and really just griefing. However, it is hilarious and sometimes you'll get slicers with really nice pods. The laughter on comms after doing this is one of the best moments I've experienced in eve. Just roam around a populated area of FW space and like this and give it a go. Just have a few reships handy. Good luck and good hunting XD | ||
