It just so happens that the Tengu can perform in too many diverse roles with one fit and that the other T3's are marginalized by the degree to which they are performing a very specific role (and sucking at other roles).
I get the impression that they don't want T3 ships to be "ultra-specialized" or "niche," either. They want them to be good enough to actually use for a range of uses.
My point in naming what they might do with those ships was just to say that they have options and could take on a more substantial rework than just fiddling the numbers, if they're willing to put in the time and (probably substantial) development effort. The underlying changes that would be needed to support on-the-fly reconfiguration, for example (and yes, that would have to include full sets of modules plus deal with the rig issue) probably would involve work that would eat up a good chunk of an expansion's time budget.

And yet somehow equal to T2 ships. And cost 5x as much. And you lose SP when they get destroyed. That's what I'm saying. T3's, if a person looks at them right now as they exist, are supposed to be ships which can push some boundaries by taking a role and running with it. Currently, the balance is way off because Tengus are stupidly good and the other T3's are comparable to T2 ships but with all the training, time, manufacturing, and SP loss costs associated with them.
If T3 ships are not supposed to be superior to T2 ships, then what is the point of all those penalties associated with them? That's what I was saying, and that's why CCP's most recent "position" on T3's makes no sense.

I feel like we've heard those insults before.

If they're going to change t3's by any large measure to be similar to t2's in each roll, they really should remove the skill loss on destruction.
Unless they do something really weird.

edit: also front page eve-kill victory achieved \o/

Is there money for low sp(~4m) rookies in null exploration? Thinking of finding new or alternative income source. Playing jita games + Show Spoiler + and region trading right now - very streamline and low attention needed when updating shit. I think I can get plex and reships right now every month.
FW is where i spend most of my time, picking almost every fight I can. :D Maybe I should just afk plexes on amarr alt.

Combat sites won't really be doable with 4m skill points. Data and Relic sites maybe, but you'll need to have your hacking and archaeology skills pretty high. Also, access may be a problem.

I just thought it was cool that the first EVE video I watched had a bunch of TL guys in it

I'm kinda tempted to start playing actively again. If we do a deployment to delve or something who is up for that? I'll handle the JF.

Hmm I really like what they did with exploration, i.e. no rats in hacking and archaeological sites. Easier scanning. But I'm a bad player so ofc I'm happy about making the game easy and theme park ^^

A couple days ago I ganked a hauler. Ended up getting around a 300something mil drop fom it. Earlier he killed one of my nados with a stealth bomber. He bragged a bit in local and then left system and I thought that was the end of it. After all I was still up about 140m. (300m-80m for killing him and another 80m for the nado he killed)
Then he comes back into local and alerts me that I am famous now and links this: + Show Spoiler +
Suicide nado: 80mil, Hauler carrying cynabals and stuff: 360m, Making some guy mad enough to kill you and make a video about it: Priceless

The video is kind of badass when the name used in that trailer works on you.
