I'm not sure how that would work as I think that's conceptually impossible without creating some kind of elaborate black box interface with the main program (which even then you could reverse engineer...). In practical terms, most third party applications that interface directly with a program do so after the program is running (simply tying into the memory space allotted to the program) rather than relying on startup sequences etc. 99.9% of programs run completely "naked" in that they have no active defense against an external program interfacing with them through memory. There are very few exceptions like WoW which run some kind of scary totalitarian memory guard program. Most programs are even more easily accessible by reverse engineering their API to the point where you can call almost any function available to the developers. EVE seems like it would be even easier to do because the EVE client is just a glorified UI (nothing of the simulation of EVE happens on the client, you just send requests to the server and it sends you back the results of your requests). /edit - That's not to say it isn't the case, just that I think it would be a ridiculous waste of man hours to implement something that will protect your program against mainly people who don't know how to violate your program. It may stop users from using some specific version of a piece of software, but as soon as the devs of that software update it to move around the "restrictions" placed, then it's all pointless.

[19:56:08] Meerket > plex volume is normally 3100-3800 on weekdays [19:56:15] Meerket > yesterday and today it's 2800 and 2200 Thats the leading theory currently on plex prics. Unless anyone can come up with a more logical explanation. EDIT: [20:12:38] Meerket > yesterday's outage [20:12:48] Meerket > was caused because ccp cant operate a https server properly [20:12:56] Meerket > and no https means no account management or plex sales either Would appear this is the reason for the spike. Clearly a plex supply side issue and will likely fix itself. Wether or not cp do another plex sale because of this is anyones guess.

(if you aren't up to date: you can train 2 characters on a single account when odyssey comes, but with the limitation that you have to activate a plex on a subbed account to start the 30 day period, and you can only use plex for this)
