You don't really need isks. Just make a trial account.

Okay, the correct way to save a pod is to spam warp on any celestial that you can easily and reliably select (assuming not nullsec) so that will usually be a gate or the sun. If you don't have a safe in the system you can use this time to drop one as well as planning your next move. If the celestial you land at is hot then select another one as you drop out of warp and spam warp on that. Repeat until you have somewhere quiet enough to safely do anything other than spamming warp and then do whatever action you decided upon.

The greedy goblin guy just went on a big rant about how miners failfit retrievers when they're like the easiest thing in the world to fit correctly. He came up with this and posted it so we could all see how he would do it.

When you see it you die a little inside.

This goblin guy, an entertaining clown he is.
On a sidenote:
own3D and its management, having evaluated the future of own3D, have decided to cease operations on January 31st, 2013. After efforts to sell the company fell through and after much deliberation this seems to be the best course of action.
No moneys for the cash tournament winners from own3D. Perhaps CCP steps in but they have no liability to do so.

It can. If you're within d-scan range of the beacon, a max range scan would show the system is hot. A lot of newer players also don't seem to understand that they need to scan between arriving at a gate, and activating it. But the more important lesson is that you shouldn't be trying to solo plex in a system with that many active enemies anyway. And if you do, you should be warping at range and be ready to warp again as soon as you land.

Jumping implies through a stargate. No way to scan that.

That. Talking stargates, not acceleration gates.

Ya I thought I'd at least try to get to a plex site and see what its like so I went to amamake which was low sec amarr i believe, i go through the star gate (without scanning) and the rest is history.
So do people do plexes together to make it easier and is it only attacking that gets you LP or can you defend and get LP. I actually found a gallente plex that someone had opened up and done (I think, it was empty when I got there) and orbited for like 5 minutes before I realized I was in the wrong sector. It actually took me like 10 minutes to find a low sec system from Hek (the buttoning guide doesn't tell you where to go, like about how many jumps from Hek on average to amarr space) by reading the map, so by the time I set the course I was like fuck it jumping through gate what can possible be worse than looking at a map of metropolis for 10 minutes.
