The thing is that I was lazy and didn't check the local or the scanner, just because the deccers are mainly in amarr space and I was in gallente. My first mistake. We were doing some fancy sansha mission, so I was tanked against EM and got some nice mjolnir rage and faction ammo. Then a blinking red got in overview. A Fucking Legion. "Oh fuck" I though, "there it goes my 1.5 bill tengu for nothing" I told my friend to get the fuck out (silly me, he is not in my corp, but I didin't know if they could just gank him for lulz) I started to run away him, but he locked me really, really fast (less than 2 secs) and pointed me. Fuck. Let's try burning AB. To no avail, for some reason the legion is faster than me. Most likely a 100 AB fit. Red box in. 5 hammerhead II in the air. Damage reports kicked in "220 mm autocannons do 5 damage" WTF??? Autocannons in a Legion?? Booster on. Cap stable. Not even a dent. The hammerheads can't catch me and keep missing. OK, this must be a heavy tackler. the dreaded 150k EHP brick legion. But so fast... OK, let's die like real men. Lock on, target painters on, firing rage mjolnir HAM at 10 km range. 2 salvoes and shieds out. "well, that is expected" Armor at 90%, armor at 70%" a look at my shields "100% and repairing" his armor begin to repair, but the HAM firepower is getting over it. "armor at 50%" no more blinking reds in local. Armor at 20%, the guy turns back and get out of disruptor range. Since I don't have point and he is now out of range I just warp out. Alive. I was the luckest guy around but... seriously, if you have a fucking LEGION first learn how to fit it. I'm thinking about doing the same today but with a disruptor and a PvP fit. It's time to go Legion Hunting... I love EvE :D | ||

Faction BS are the best way to mission for a newbie player. Since he is caldari, CNR is the best option. Decent gank, superb tank and nothing more to do than just lock and F1. When he gets confident, I will introduce him to better, funnier mission boats (like the tengu F.E, or the Nightmare / machariel) | ||

Do you also like to fill your caracals with an excessive amount of nanite? Do you pronounce machariel like "mackriel?" Do you pick up women in front of their parents? | ||

It also doesn't require a ton of SP to fly if you aren't a complete moron, I flew one with a 1.5 month old alt in missions just fine. | ||
