A titan died a fiew weeks ago because his nose was out of his small pos, and he got afk long enough for someone to bump him out.
In EVE, if something stupid is doable, someone WILL do it. It's just a matter of when and where.

Edit : I agree with either having very cheap small pos or having a smaller, individual category of poses. If they are everywhere and everyone get to play a bit with them, it gives a great incentive for CCP to develop the feature. I'm not sure they should be as extremely simple as you suggest (I think you should be able to do big poses with low tank, for example, risk versus reward, an incentive for highsec wardecs if you spot them, etc ...), but simpler as they are currently, hell yes. I'd love to drop some poses to do stuff, but I don't want to bang my head against the wall setting them up, so I passed on the option.

One would think you might have noticed how many of us are making subtle jabs at how bad someone would have to be to let this happen to themselves to think that maybe the person who did that may just have happened to be one of us. Maybe.
Or you could just go back a few pages past all the shield battery drama and find out.


I'm new here, and to be fair, the said drama pushed me not to read back that much into the thread (read a good chunk of the first page and the last ones). Added to the fact that my english is far from perfect, I'm french, I read some english, but I don't have conversations full of subtle hints every days. Maybe I should read more of the thread !

They have done a great job recently and I don't see why that would change

Looking at some pages, it's so full of awesome drama I should really read through it...

But I might need some of my time trying to become an at least somewhat decent frigate pilot. Got the money to learn from my errors for a while, but it takes time too.

Edit : frig/destro/cruiser rebalance isn't far from being a real hit, though. And FW, as broken as it is, can be a way to find good fights. Worked pretty well on the few ones I did (I've been trying it for a week, more for the frigate fights than for the ISK, and it does pretty well. Incidentally got some LPs too, but I don't know how they compare to other LPs and which LP/isk conversion rate I can hope for because I didn't try to use them yet.

By fw being broken I mean in the sense that we farmed it for 5b isk/hr until CCP introduced a special overnight patch just to stop us personally although in fairness that was the second time, the first time it was broken for infinite isk generation until CCP introduced a special overnight patch to stop Goonswarm.

I suppose you're talking of putting stuff on both side and killing each other, making more in LP value than you loss?
Is it completely fixed now, or can you still make it work?

You still need to sell the goods and risk market flooding, right?

Whenever people ask me about how broken FW was I lowball massively at 2b isk/hr and they get flabbergasted already. I guess I might as well go full out from now on and quote 5b.

Yep, fixed.

No reason to sell everything in one go and flood the market. I believe it was all removed as well anyway.

edit: The thing you're alluding to was the way Goonswarm exploited the system. We exploited it completely differently and kept everything.

You kept everything? That makes it a lot better than infinite isk you don't get to keep :D
Still not very healthy for the game.

I really don't know how game developers can oversee such issues. Can't they pay some guys like you to break their stuff down, and give them a bonus if they find something huge? Would not cost them that much, and could avoid the hassle of having to correct everything on a live feature...

And so, now, do you consider FW post fixes a hit?

Nope, you can do over a bil an hour if you multibox I think though whereas incursions were never anything like that bad.

Why have trials. 51s are still relatively free. Have someone who needs to plex anyway in the tl corp make you a 51.

I see. Sounds like some work to pull off all the multiboxing. I don't think I can do more than 3-4 accounts with my laptop.
I've tried to look at FW mechanics on EVE wikis, but they aren't really documented (yet?). For example, is being more than one in a plex helpful to capture (not fight) in any way?

Okay, if it's in missions, I'd rather stay out of it, I can't really stand EVE's pve content.
I don't really know why there is missions in FW, now that plexes are the core mechanic. They don't contribute to the war effort at all... If it's where the brokenness is, CCP could just remove them, there is no logic in getting FW LPs by doing the same pve you do to get standard corporations LPs...

er, the missions are pretty much no different to plexes. You accept a mission and it creates a beacon in a fw system that anyone can warp to where you must blow shit up.
