I don't know if it's sleep deprivation, but I came up with this just now.
+ Show Spoiler +[Wolf, 10mnAB]
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Micro Auxiliary Power Core I Gyrostabilizer II Fourier Transform Tracking Program Damage Control II
Experimental 10MN Afterburner I Faint Warp Disruptor I
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Barrage S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Barrage S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Barrage S 150mm Light AutoCannon II, Barrage S [Empty High slot]
Small Projectile Collision Accelerator II Small Projectile Ambit Extension I
Zainou 'Gypsy' Electronics EE-603 Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' Evasive Maneuvering EM-703 Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link Eifyr and Co. 'Gunslinger' Surgical Strike SS-903
Wolf, going 2k a second, with a sig of 33, I get 190 heated dps with it, and the falloff with barrage is 15.5k. Oh, and it actually has some armor buffer. I may be crazy, but this does look like it could work.

That brings me to another important change. With the introduction of open invites we are removing all limits on Buddy Program invites and removing the PLEX-for-PLEX reward option. That is, if a Buddy Program trial is upgraded using PLEX the inviter will not be eligible to receive a PLEX reward as a result of that trial upgrade.
fuck?

Definitely missed that part of the devblog. I skipped to the end, saw the EvE-MLP mashup and stopped reading.

oh snap
I assume the gametime reward will remain in place?

yeah, i don't think it is that major a change relative to the current situation, because you'll be able to send unlimited invites, but it removed the flexibility that previously was there

This will be annoying for character bazaar stuff, but it is workable. It now takes more of an upfront investment to buy/make characters from scratch but the result will be the same eventually as you can still get game time. I am also very curious what CCP is thinking about adding in as possible rewards.

Whelp Harbs should be the new Whelp Canes. I have made some fits.
+ Show Spoiler [New Things] +Gallente "Algos" Traits Destroyers skill bonus per level: 10% bonus to drone damage and hitpoints per level 10% bonus to small hybrid turret tracking per level
Role Bonus: 25% bonus to drone microwarpdrive speed
Development The Algos, as is wont with the Gallente, relies on swiftness of action - preferably at a respectable distance - to accomplish its goals. In this it reflects well-honed Gallente values, which include taking independent action without taking forever to wait for a committee decision, and also doing so, if at all possible, in a fashion that allows for a nice, safe buffer for immediate retreat; because theory is one thing, and practice is sometimes quite another.
As such, the Algos focuses on being able to hit its targets in rapid-fire fashion, with guns that fire fast and drones that race through space with destruction in mind.
Amarr "Dragoon"
Traits Destroyer skill bonus per level: 10% bonus to drone damage and hitpoints per level 20% bonus to energy vampire and energy neutralizer transfer range per level
Role Bonus: 25% bonus to drone microwarpdrive speed
Development The Dragoon follows old religious tenets - ones thought rather dark by the majority of the cluster, but found perfectly normal by Amarr minds - that to exist as God's chosen people means fulfilling a very definite and often forceful role. This includes not only imposing the will of God, often through the time-honored methods of mindless proxies, but also profiting, even being nourished, off the energies of others.
As such, the Dragoon focuses on sending out a mass of drones, ones capable not only of swiftly hunting down their targets but also of inflicting tons of damage once contact is made. Moreover, the Dragoon is able to drain the target's energy in the meanwhile, all with the aim of leaving it little more than a trembling husk.
Caldari "Corax"
Traits Destroyers skill bonus per level: 5% bonus to light missile and rocket kinetic damage per level 10% bonus to light missile and rocket explosion velocity per level
Role Bonus: 50% bonus to light missile and rocket max velocity
Development The Corax adheres to the well-established Caldari design philosophy that there is strength in numbers, and that the messages sent to an enemy should be strong and unequivocal. This applies equally to peace talks as it does to actual engagements on the battlefield - there should be no doubt in the strength of Caldari spirit, nor in the fact that when one blow has been struck, others are going to follow.
As such, the Corax does not pepper its opponents with pellets from a gun, nor does it toast them with continuous beams of light. Instead, it delivers strong, hard-hitting payloads at a pace that's not only steady, but rapid enough to rock its targets and knock them off-balance.
Minmatar "Talwar"
Traits Destroyers skill bonus per level: 5% bonus to light missile and rocket explosive damage per level 15% reduction in microwarpdrive signature radius penalty per level
Role Bonus: 50% bonus to light missile and rocket max velocity
Development The Talwar is redolent of the renowned Minmatar practicality in terms of battle. Irrespective of numbers, firepower and circumstances, their strategy when engaged in combat often revolves around the same central tenet: Stay untouchable as much as you can, either by sneaking around or rushing in, do as much damage as fast as you can, and get out before you get killed.
As such, the Talwar does not come equipped to hang around forever on the battlefield. It is built to rush around at speed without getting caught, and to hit very hard and very, very fast.
ORE frigate "Dasher"
Traits Mining Frigate skill bonus per level: 5% bonus to mining output 5% reduction to gas cloud harvesting duration per level.
Role Bonus: 100% bonus to mining and gas cloud harvesting +2 warp core strength
Development Recognizing the dire need for a ship capable of fast operation in unsafe territories, ORE created the Dasher. It was conceived as a vessel primed and ready for any capsuleer, no matter how new to the dangers of New Eden they might be, who wishes to engage in the respectable trade of mining.
The Dasher has amazing abilities to quickly drill through to the ores and gases it's after, harvesting them at the speed necessary for mining in hostile space, and getting out relatively unscathed.

I use destroyers frequently, they're really fun to use. So yeah, more destroyers as well as a rebalancing of destroyers is dev time well spent

A friend of mine used to use thrashers in his spare time to weed out the overbreeding hoards of pirate frigates.

Greetings citizens of New Eden,
I'm CCP Ripley. You may have known me previously under the name CCP Nerfherder, which I used when I was manager of game design and content. Unfortunately, Nerfherder came to a fiery end after a suspicious in-game scandal (no doubt some lucky pilot out there in New Eden still has his frozen corpse). Officially I blame it all on CCP Tuxford, of course, because blame just looks so good on him.
Anyway, a little bit more about me. I am now the Senior Producer for Release Development. This means I'm producing the next release as well as preparing for the release after that. I run around the development floor all day trying to solve problems or trying to bring in the right people to solve the problems. I basically try to align all the things we want to do with the things we are able to do. In the words of Winston Wolfe: “I solve problems.” So with that out of the way, let's have a look at what the teams are working on for this expansion, Retribution. ...
