Edit: Only killling two tonight as I am tired but plates and that Mod put me up 100m for about 15 minutes work. Makes me happy that killing these two morons gives me the funding to kill 50 more morons.

According to my experience, the arts and graphics guys also designed most of the game mechanics and were responsible for the recent AF buff.

BroodWar is filled with broken/imbalanced units.
Vultures being the fastest unit in the game, crazy high damage, and 3 mini-nukes for 75 minerals? Lurkers being cloaked as well as crazy good AOE damage? Psionic Storm raping everything? Etcetera.....
Somehow that game works quite well, because, regardless of how "broken" any one of those units are, none of those units can do everything alone, and everyone has access to some "broken" units. The winner is the one who ends up using them right.
From what I've seen, EVE is similar. It's not about broken ships, it's about who can use the broken ships better, as well as who can use them in combination with each other in a more effective way. It's a game that takes skill and knowledge.
Otherwise, we'd be flying fleets with nothing but Oracles.

Amarr is usually the armor tanked slow stuff, while minmatar is often the fast shield tanked stuff. The amarr ships zealot and oracle kinda want to be minmatar so they can be shield tanked and fast and used in a true minmatar way
