I tired the 14 day trial of EVE and quit after 2 days because I had no idea what to do or how anything worked even though I went through the full tutorial. lol I did the exact same thing but I only lasted like 3 hours and turn that shit off, I had no idea what I was doing or how anything worked.. I knew how to shoot stuff and warp and that was it.

Anyway, I was pretty amazed when I logged on and BoB was gone. It's pretty interesting how many ways you can take out your opponent in EVE. The competition is great and just about in every aspect of EVE. But yeah that post was way too long. I read the first 6 paragraphs haha

Man, that was amazingly entertaining. we should form a newbie tl alliance!!!1! People play WoW because there is no penalty for stupidity. If you do something wrong in EvE, the potential for loss knows no limits. You can quite literally lose everything you've ever worked for in that game in an instant, if you're that careless with your belongings. Most people can't handle that.

I think the OP referred to trained skills. That is, abilities in the game that you rank up with in order to become more proficient with them. As much as I adore EvE, skill is a small factor when it comes to large-scale PvP. What matters in such engagements is discipline. You need to have a good fleet commander calling the shots, and you, personally, need to be able to listen and act accordingly.

Its quite hilarious how often some guy makes a thread "hey, does anyone play XXXX game?" then few days later someone creates an alliance here, hundreds of goons jump in and wreck shit ingame. A great read by the way. Yeah, really. They make our owning the internet schemes look like kid games lol
