Even then, though, it does feel more engaging knowing I have to push buttons to kill mobs.

sure there were major glitches in graphics, it was a bit laggy and fps wasn't stable (i play with i7- 940, gtx 460, 6 gb ram and i played 20 to 80 fps) the story elements in game was awesome. The first instance for empire was the best instance i've ever done! and generally liked nearly all classes i've played with this will be an awesome game imo. i personally won't buy it but it is totally a personal choice. when i was trying the beta i remembered why i quit WoW, endless and pointless hours spending to a MMORPG, the addiction and all. so with this beta Bioware reminded me why i shouldn't play another MMORPG. Oh, the irony =)

Pros: Excellent voice acting, meaningful quests, clear quest objectives, a streamlined interface, surprisingly decent combat, minimal grinding, good light side / dark side choices, and plenty of places to explore and quest. It's basically a heavily streamlined version of WoW, which is good. Cons: The general quests (non-class) are the same for every class, and the variety of quest hubs is more limited per level than in WoW. Replayability may end up being a major problem. The graphics are quite terrible, and the general art style does not seem like it will age well at all. PvP is fun, but the designers prioritize it far below the PvE content (competitive PvP seems unlikely). The talent system is rather dull. In the end I will buy ToR only if it proves to offer months of replayability and adequate support for competitive PvP.

I mean, like if I were to pre-order the game from Amazon and get the early game access code, would I be able to continue playing straight after the early access ends and game launches or whether I'd have to wait for my own copy to continue playing? They haven't confirmed anything like that, but most MMORPG's with headstart do give you at least 1-3 days to play after launch before having to add your retail key so SWTOR will probably also do it this way.

Oh, the irony =) I actually gonna buy it, because so far what i saw from beta this game is relying more about the story than grinding. Which is why i stopped playing wow (6 years). I think this game can offer me that couple (1-2) hours of fun i'm looking for without investing ALOT into my character. In WoW questing didn't last long and if you wanted to have fun in pvp or pve you had to grind/farm instances and reputations. I hope SWTOR will not fall into the same trap and can extend the story-based leveling as long as possible. Although this game won't kill WoW alone, but with Diablo 3. Mostly those players will chose this game who: -enjoyed reading a book (not student book) -likes playing casually -don't like monotonius grinding Those who like grinding and care less about lore/story etc, they'll choose D3 instead of WoW or SWTOR. Also, i don't think SWTOR's playerbase will give a damn about "world first guilds" here.

Yeesh, that's a little harsh ![]() It's really simple, the game is rendering graphic details from the game server (other players gear, animations etc) and that has nothing to do with your computer, and framerates drop when that is happening regardless of what computer you are playing it on. During my playing this weekend that did bother me, but it was clear to me that this was due to server being full and not due to poor game programming, since all the lag and graphic glitches stoped when I got into phased area limited to only me/group, so please don't go judging game for that. Regarding PvP being terrible, name me a game that has good PVP on low lvls, it's simply to much to expect, especially from a game that isn't released yet (low lvl PVP in wow is laughable, specially given twinks and LVL ranges of battlegrounds, haven't played other mmos tho). I will play this game since I am a mayor SW fan, I love KOTOR story and the way conversations work and I think it took most of the things WOW did right and got it to fit in Star Wars universe. I don't think Skyrimesque graphics are for MMOs, since it just diverts attention from gameplay and the game would suffer for that (skyim questing is really lacking).

I loved the KotR games especially the first one , it's probably still my favorite RPG and this feels alot like it but it's still an MMORPG idk if i wanna buy the game. A third KotR i would've bought in a second without thinking( even the current SWTOR without the MMO part ) but this probably not , at least not right away.

Just wondering on the length and replay value since it seems that is the only unique thing with dialogue that one would want to go through (and spam spacebar for the other 1-3 characters you make per side for non-class quest dialogue). It seems the game is very Alt friendly for those who just like running through every class to the max and then pick one to craft and mess around with (or dabble in instances or PvP but too casual to really rock at either). I wonder if I could get through the 8 class quests and bypass all of the side quests for 6 of the 8 characters (1 per side just to check them out) and be done in time for the "next big thing" (e.g. Diablo 3, GW2). I just can't see myself PvPing in this game as I did not enjoy it and the instances are cool once but after that I wouldn't want to join to spam spacebar as it really kills it for me. I also wonder if I could get to 50 and then run all of the instances (level 10 one at 50 would be easy but just for the story).

I hit 21 last night and I was still chasing the villain(s) laid out from the beginning zone quests. It will likely take you all the way to 50, assuming you don't completely ignore the other quests in the zones.
