One of the things I loved about WoW's LFG tool was that whenever I felt bored of the grind I could just join a random dungeon and break the monotony of questing. I can't really do that with SWTOR and it's pretty frustrating. It's even more frustrating to see Bioware's current stance of " YOU WILL USE THE LFG CHANNEL AND LIKE IT AND BE BFF'S 4 EVER ". It's such a silly stance and will push people away from the game, like myself. That's a feature WoW didn't have for years and years, they added it late WotLK. Maybe Bioware will eventually add it, maybe they won't, but I didn't like the feature in WoW to be honest with you. It made dungeons lame, trivial, and made the designers lean towards making them easy because random automated group collection tends to have worse group cohesion.

shared BGs though...man ruined it even more. i remember we would have rivalry's against various guilds on the horde side, made it a lot more fun.

But i could really use a global lfg channel, it wont be spammed as much as people think, it worked well in WoW and EQ2 before the dungeon finders. Only grouping with people on your server is awesome, you will see. Even if you dont speak or socialize, you will eventually start knowing people.

I agree that 6pm to midnight would be much worse, but it's still shit atm.

I only played vanilla WoW so I can't speak to how cross-server things worked but the problem with being server limited is that playing on a low pop server really really sucks. Or playing BG's when alliance doesn't have a single halfway decent premade so they would all leave or just afk while we took the flag, really boring. Cross server BG's would have helped that. That said I think they should just focus on making sure all servers are well populated and have closed servers but with server transfers (limited by pay wall). Being able to have a real server-wide community is really nice as people have said.

Some of the bugs we're just like the type you see in WoW from time to time, like evade bugs and so on. We went in as a pug from 3 or 4 different guilds. We managed to get to the last boss of Eternity Vault after many bugged tries on the boss before it. If we look away from the bugs I'm actually impressed with this entry level raid. The trash was boring and uninteresting (hey its trash so whatever right?) but the bosses had some interesting mechanics and you could tell that this wasn't meant to be challenging to a coordinated group on normal mode. The last boss was actually breath taking, it was on the same level as you'd expect a mid-tier end raid boss from wow would be in pure awesomeness and we didn't manage to beat the last phase since it was really tight and no pug will probably one shot it at current gear level. Did EV8 today and only had serious bugs on the 1st boss with power cells occasionally not spawning. 2nd boss killed our raid at range after our 1st wipe but otherwise was smooth. 3rd/4th bosses had loot bugs (only 1st person to loot got commendations) and 5th boss had no bugs that we found. Maybe we just didn't trigger them /shrug. Either way the trash was not bad at all, maybe 10-12 pulls in the entire thing and the fights were much more interesting than I expected.

Not to turn Servers into something nearly meaningless...

But IIRC they've stated that they plan to shuffle the maintenance hours each week between bad times for EU and bad times for US. So one week it'll fuck over US players, next week it'll fuck over EU players. Gives a shared amount of fuckover to everyone! :D

Started off on Tatooine, went to a quest hub and got a 3 minute long cinematic for a "Kill 10 bad guys" quest. I was really amazed at how long they managed to pull that out, they had about five dialogue exchanges. Tried to do PvP but it was bugged the entire day. Decided to do the late 20s flashpoint (Cademimu), both bosses bugged out. Final boss has a mechanic where you have to tilt your camera straight up to avoid flame jets coming from the ceiling, it's like a boss fight with the camera. Both of the flashpoints I've done so far have been extremely underwhelming and basic, both have that dead, static feel that the game world has too. After that I went to Alderaan and continued the main story for my Jedi Knight, which is pretty much the only redeeming factor in the game. It seems like both PvE and PvP were an afterthought when compared to the story, which is totally bizarre for an MMO.

Also ranged casters almost never use normal because they have 500 force which is more than enough and their melee sucks anyway.

A lot of issues that the beta had were also fixed, I heard. Is everyone satisfied with this game?

Is everyone satisfied with this game? Lots of bugs still for me ^_^ randomly getting stuck in the game seems to be my biggest. Cant randomly move for like 5minutes trying to move again because im stuck. Spawning in mid air when i log in is another aswell, thats rather annoying. PvP is fun for me, think its personal taste though, the PvP game modes are different but fun for me! Good game think it could of done with another week/ 2 weeks in BETA though.
