What is the monthly fee? Also, can I just enjoy it mostly alone, doing quests, improving myself etc.? What made me really bored with WoW was that after Vanilla WoW, I struggled to find a guild that was as successful as my past guilds, so that made become disappointed with the game and eventually quitting it (along with all the terrible changes they made to the game ofcourse) If I can just pick this up, do quests, RPG my way out of it and sometimes do dungeons etc, I am thinking to try it. You definately can enjoy this game for solo play, each class has its own quests, each side has its own planet quests. So thats at least 2 playtroughs without any duplicate quest. Also the planets are really diverse with amazing artwork, the world is very detailed, the quests all work well together and tell real stories. There are also a LOT of quests per planet. You can really see that this game had a big budged and didnt waste it, bioware really did an amazing job there. Its not just the voices, all those props and NPCs handplaced everywhere add a lot. i cant talk about endgame, i can just tell you that 50$ buys you the content of like 10 kotor games with modern graphic and mmo combat system.
Thanks for the reply.
I found out that I cannot buy a boxed copy of the game from Turkey. However, I assume it should be available through digital download? If so, I am going to have to purchase through the net.
The class quests make me excited. WoW also had those, even though not every class had its quest epic (the rogue and warlock ones were really good) , but then they removed them all

Notice that these quests aren't just short quests. They span through the whole game, from beginning to end. Usually you'll follow your class quests to whatever planet they lead you to, do the quests there and continue. The class quest introduces you to your spaceship, to your companions, etc. It's very important.

Sounds kickass man! Just what I wanted to see.
I am picking this up, I definitely will.

Jesus christ. This game, bioware are fucking geniuses when it comes to story telling. It's absolutely mind blowing how well they have made this game.
In the beta I loved the sith warrior storyline (played to level 20 in story), Love the Jedi knight quests and so many things I don't expect to happen or don't even think could happen, happen in at least the jedi knight story. God this game is so addicting because I just want to know what happens next and its impossible to predict what will happen because you don't even think of it.
In short love this game, its awesome, for me best MMO I have ever played :D

Yeah I'm loving this game so far. BioWare just needs to hurry the fuck up and fix Taris so I can continue leveling... Taris problem

I love the way theres a really solid story going on each class and stuff. really sets it apart from a regular mmo where you just kind of get a vague overarching story with quest hubs. i really feel like i'm going through a real story, not just a series of quests

I remember in WoW it was just grinding through quests of kill x of mob y, gather x of that etc. There are still some of these quests in SWTOR but because of the great dialogues and story you actually follow what is happening.

i'm really thinking about picking this up on tuesday if it's as good as everyone is saying it is. In particular I'm really looking forward to the flashpoints, they all seem to have really cool stories and look really enjoyable.

just a quick question since i cant bother visiting the bioware forums. for sith inquisitors, does strength stat boost the damage from all melee attacks? cause on the tolltip it says that force attacks (every inquisitor attack apart from lvl1 autoattack) rely on willpower for damage. but then strenght says it boosts melee attack. so confused... so far i have been building solely on willpower and my dmg is superb (sith assassin) so i must be doing smth right, but who knows. quirky builds sometimes are rly effective.
sith assassin on server uthar wynn. if anyone plays there let me know. i <3 the TL community
also orange items are such a nice idea. having a lvl 10 item be as powerful as a lvl 50 one makes for a percect mindgame :D although it kinda makes crafting obsolete. (like why would you synthweave armor when you can simply get oranges for everything and get some kewl modifications every time)

No, I believe you'll want willpower as sith inquisitor (even as assassin/melee)

Every class has one main stat, and that's the stat you'll always want to stack because it increases everything.

Is there any site which gives a rough overview of the abilities of each class as they level? I just like to do a bit of research before I decide what to roll :p

Loving the game even more than when I played it during beta! I just unlocked my ship and got to do space combat for the first time! Well, 3 times in a row since it took me a couple tries to get a good feel for it. But the rewards are mighty, and you get your own ship!! Friggin awesome! Can't wait til I get my speeder too!
PvP is a blast! People in general are getting much better at teamwork and communication, which these warzone PvP games are HEAVILY reliant on. I've seen a lot of great plays in Huttball, most noteably.
Through my limited data when I tracked it, you gain xp the quickest by continuous power questing (i.e. run, ignore mobs, just get your objective and go) while queuing for PvP warzones. I averaged around 27k xp / hr around the 16-20 level range. It still took between 2.5 - 3 hours to level then. After that though, I wanted to go back to storyline mode (I already heard the story up this far into Beta anyways).

In short love this game, its awesome, for me best MMO I have ever played :D Really? I find Bounty Hunter's story predictable. o.o
Meet person to guide me in my quest. Person tells me to kill somebody, but in the end I kill 3 instead. Come back and get paid. Receive new task.
Did I mention I kill 1 person in every single quest?
The Sith Warrior is a weaksauce compared to me. He gets dark points for electrocuting Vette, but I don't get dark points unless I kill the NPC.
Yea.... =/

Sadly my computer is really holding back the amount of enjoyment I can get from SWTOR. Sure leveling is manageable, but wargames are already close to unplayable. It's quite disheartening to know that I won't be able to play seriously once I hit endgame.
Guess I'll just play as far as I can stand my computer holding me back on then unsub until I get a new computer.

If you can somehow get this all to work well, I will love you long time.
When I posted that it was beyond unplayable. Fortunately I found this trick:

Enjoy.
edit: I know this sounds stupid, but it really does work. Believe me. Became much better but still drops like a stone when I enter particularly dusty rooms.

Do you play any other games with the 5650?. I'm using a Radeon HD 5750 with a 2.8GHz quad core 630 propus and 8 gig g.skill 1333mhz ram and I'm trying to figure out if it's solely ATI cards that are having issues. I've read that people with 6970's are even having fps drops and stutters. I can play skyrim on medium-high and BF3 on high with no fps issues.
If I use WoW as an example, that game was CPU intensive, even in 25 man's people with 256mb gfx cards could play provided they had a good CPU and it seems with SWTOR, that just isn't the case.
I don't actually have the game yet btw, I'm just trying to assess whether I should buy it yet.
