I want to rebind my inventory hotkeys, which are, by default, Numpad 7, 8, 4, 5, 1, and 2, to Ctrl + 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, respectively. I don't want to use a third party program for one simple reason: they all mess up hotkeys for other things. I've been using a program since yesterday for inventory hotkeys, and it works just fine, but it makes it incredibly annoying to have to type anything. How can I accomplish this using CustomKeys.txt? | ||

I can see why people lie to you so often ;P but I'm not one of them. You can't bind items with customkeys.txt, you need a third party program or a mouse with bindable buttons. | ||

How can I accomplish this using CustomKeys.txt? use authotkey? you can make it activate only when warcraft 3 is running and is the primary window and/or make an on/off switch via scrollLock (what i use) or some other button i could make it for you in like 2min if you are too lazy to read the documentation yourself. i highly recommend doing it though since ahk is god! @testie you were active during winter break boi! when nobody had any responsibilities, shinbi had shitty internet and paper was good manner. ah the good ol' days | ||

ya rly warkeys for nubs. ahk is for pros! here i made one for you rpf, altho when trying it out, randomly binding my hero to thefirst 6 keys was retarded, so i disabled it, which was even more silly, so i just left it at shift+key instead of ctrl. shift is closer anyway. i found that the 2key combo is annoying tho, i'd suggest picking one key to do the action rather than 2. still, up to u go get autohotkey, copy paste this into notepad, save as godIsShinbi.ahk and run + Show Spoiler [shinbi's awesomesauce 30sec code] + #NoEnv SendMode Input ;makes it active only in warcraft 3 #IfWinActive Warcraft III ;remapping of shift & number to the numpad keys. the # represents shift +1::Numpad7 +2::Numpad8 +3::Numpad4 +4::Numpad5 +5::Numpad1 +6::Numpad2 ;disables mousewheel down so that you don't accidentally zoom (this is a problem for me, maybe not you so feel free to take it out WheelUp::Return ;using ScrollLock or enter, you may toggle the on/off state of the script inside warcraft 3 ~ScrollLock::suspend ~Enter::suspend #IfWinActive edit: inventory+ is garbage! it doesn't bode well for holding down keys, i found it gets buggy if i hold the key combo. oh well | ||
