rpf United States2705 Posts March 26 2008 19:42 GMT #1719 Quick question: Last night I played a TDA with some friends as sniper. I was against witch doctor, lion, NA, lucifer, and PL. I got my usual two bracers for the obvious reason, and ended up getting a third because I noticed that between all of them (or even just two of them, except lucifer) could burst me down to nothing almost instantly. They did it repeatedly. I was 0-4 before I managed a kill at max range with assassinate. After my third bracer, I decided to go BKB so that they couldn't do much, as most of them weren't a huge threat based only on their auto-attacks. It worked well, as when they'd come in to tower dive me, I'd pop my BKB, and they'd be forced to switch to someone else. So, they'd blow their cooldowns and mana on pudge or someone else, and I'd usually get one or two of them low. Obviously this set me back in damage, as headshot was the main source of my damage. So then I went desolator, as I think it's the cheapest damage item to make, not to mention it helps my entire team (and assassinate since it's physical damage). But, by then, it was too late do turn the game around as they were all farmed. I'm just wondering if I should have done something differently. And no, tower hugging was not an option. They tower dove repeatedly.
