(In which case there should have been a lane switch if it's a good baby sit lane). Can't have the carry getting 30+ cs by 5 minutes and rolling you.
True, but I mean in your situation even if the CW doesn't kill the SF after a good dive, that SF is going to be behind. He's still going to lose the lane (dying isn't always losing the lane) but what you said is pretty much applies to a lot of heroes solo, if they mess up they lose the lane.
And I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the CW, if the SF for whatever gets good hits early (rune luck, quick gank, 4 man gank, etc), its very much possible for the CW to ask for a gank on SF.

nope, it isn't. If you're asking for help as clock, you're a fuck-up. cw > sf I haven't had to ask for a single thing yet as clockwerk and just roll around destroying the earth. When I run into a challenge I might change my mind, until then, keep on puttin around.

i like this discussion, better than the other junk that usually goes on here ;p

Experimented SF vs CW with march. Granted CW isn't really his hero, played 3 times and results support my claim. The only source of dmg cw has on sf is rocket and battery assault is, as already mentioned, reliant on sf being dumb before cw hits 6. It's definitely a bitch after clock hits 6 but until then SF is 'winning' the lane so to speak. There is nothing CW can do if SF knows what he's doing that would:
- stop SF from farming (although that isn't very long since CW hits 6 around 5~6 minutes) - let CW get good farm
unless CW gets rune luck + ganks which are outside factors that shouldn't be needed to be discussed.
Just to clarify, I'm not trying to 'prove' sf isn't weak. Hell, I wouldn't pick sf vs cw, like.. ever. I just feel like you've been playing ppl players who aren't as good as you (Testie) and those results would have been regardless of hero/matchup. Maybe we can play on a US host bot one day. I played on the one that they use for idec I think? and pinged around 120-150, not bad.

heen... next summer i come to you :D

Yeah sure i'd gladly try it. I dunno I've played against a lot of good teams though lately in highskill scrims. But you don't really stop SF from farming so much as you limit it from levels 1-3. Seeing as you should hit 3 first though, you're still in the advantage until he's at the very least halfway through level 3 of his own. Meaning you'd probably be around level 4 as he's level 3 if he sucks, 3.5 if he's ok, and i suppose 3.75 if he's good. Maybe he might match me in level if he's super awesome like Heen but as I said, SF's like yours aren't exactly a dime a dozen. It might just be your natural skill as well. But with the move speed advantage, sf cannot get a single rune. You will have a ward up, and rocket can determine where SF is going. He has to stay in his lane by creeps pretty much barring TP ganks or he's just food waiting to die. ;o
What would your starting build be if you don't mind me asking? I'd probably start with 2 tangos, 3 branches, and a circlet for +5 to all stats. Then work on bottle/boots/magic wand. I've been switching builds around recently though due to not being threatened enough in mid. But yeah, you always surprise me in mid with your skill / harrass / lack of wasted movement. Even really good players have some wasted movement so I'm kinda curious to see what you can do.

Just curious Testie, who are those HS teams? I am ringing a decent amount now, and a lot of players/teams claim HS but they definitely aren't HS (compared to some of those teams playing in IDEC Earth right now).

we played against SUP a few times... i don't remember their new name though after they got sponsored.

Oh mikey and those guys. So I am guessing some of the core NA-IHL players mostly then?

i dunno, i would rate our team a mid-high skill team. Alot of teams are over confident on their abilities. Most of the teams we play we normally roll over, or win just a long game. Most of our games are won through our mechanics so its not that we are playing bad players, but we do out play most of our opponents.
I would say most teams are made up of 1-2 high skill and the rest are mid skill players. We haven't really met a US team in CW rooms (without like looking in league rooms for them) that we can't beat (not saying they wont ever beat us though, weve lost some).
However, when we play with corrupted he finds us Euro teams in the day time.

You mean SF build? 1 set of tangos 2 agility boots 1 circlet then work towards bottle boots (no wand). That's if I'm pretty sure CW would come. You have different builds for different heroes you expect to come. For someone like zeus, I'd buy 1 tango 1 salve 2 circlets.

I figured as much, I hang around the normal rooms for CW finding and don't see that many good US teams looking for scrims, like blight, ps and pz are the most active.
Either way, I find US teams to be gimmicky relying on a certain pick to get them through the game while Euros actually try to out pick you from top to bottom, kind of like that recent SUP (now known as Decisive btw) versus Razer.CGC game.

We don't really rely on gimmick line ups though. The last couple days we have run cm just once or twice (both times to counter clockwerk with just harsh nuking lanes). I would say our line ups are really diverse for most games, although it feels that in a decent portion we run potm due to her just being so versatile =P.
When we do picks we also throw ideas out just how the game might go. I really like most of our picks as some of them are not main stream and under used =P.
edit: we played with mikey the other day and rolled some team who tried to tri lane btm into all in push. we stopped a krob kotl dazzle tri lane with lich kunkka lol

Anyone else think syllabear is going to become a top tier pick? He's so fucking strong mid game it's ridiculous.
