Yes that was a game I was in and yes I mad. 1670 game and he couldn't farm in a won lane with a Chronos with a hatchet, what the hell. That's definitely a big reason... I play pretty much anything but it's really frustrating when I'm playing a supporting role and still get more cs in passing (while warding/creep stacking/roaming/etc) than "carries" in a dedicated farm lane. I think another big reason people fail so hard at lower ratings is that they pick up the recommended items without any idea of why the items are recommended, like moon queens that pick up lifesteal right away without MCing a creep to farm/stack for them, or puppets with shroud that don't combo it with their ult. I'm a 1550 right now, reasonably new to the game though i got quite a few games under my belt now, and I like to think im a decent farmer(love the new regen change on melee's been helping a lot with getting my hotbl and what not), sometime those supports don't help at all though, and make it harder to farm.. pushing the lane comes to mind, also just letting the other guy freely harass you. Sometimes you get a great support, and you get every creep first 10 minutes, and just snowball out of control though :D. I love great supports.
Being a good support player is incredibly hard; it's really tough to ward, stack, harass, and manage to get some items; at the end of any "good" game - your carries will have farm, but it's your supports items that usually swing the tide of the team fights.
This could just be my support bias. At the end of the day it is a team game with multiple roles; it sort of relies on everyone playing their role properly, or at least fucking up least than the other team;
In terms of countering heroes a lot of the times it comes down to items moreso than actual hero pickups (both play a role, but reactive items rather than just the recommended are awesome)

I wish it wasnt paid subscription for the HD graphics but meh.
Maybe if I followed sc2 than I would buy it but because I only watch hon I dont think its worth it to see one tournament.

I personally am not paying for hd this time around, though if I had some extra money i might just to support the e-sports!, wasn't really happy with NASL season 1, but I'm also going on vacation for two weeks starting tomorrow, and won't be able to watch live, and I don't really care too much until the live lan finals, which im considering going to anyways since it's just down in California, and I'm in Portland. Been too a few big SC2 lans, and had a really good time so pretty seriously considering it..

Have to cringe at that Hellbringer hard support with red boots at 30 minutes. Putting like a Glacius, a Fish or even a Voodoo in that role would be just so much better.

again like last week and a week before that, I get crush when trying to install the new patch.
I have to reinstall the whole game for it to work and my setup version is pretty low, so every week instead of downloading and installing one new patch I need to install all of the patches since v2.1.0 which is extremely frustrating, anyone knows how am I supposed to deal with this problem?

Ok, so. Where do I find people that want to play original dota. As in competative mindset being serious about team picks and stuff. Because I have been playing on garena for a while and they all seem to just be retards with no brain and no communication just pick a hero you want to play and feed the other team a free win because of our retarded team comp. Should I play on ICCUP or Dotalicious or w/e the f is out there. Get me in a fucking team or somethin.

The usual rule for these kinds of things is, once youll be good enough, youll know where to go.
