Worse infrastructure, lack of money despite milking the game as much as they could. If they instead allowed player-hosted servers for private games, they would have my sympathy and you could get some good-latency in-houses/tournaments.

I read back through the last few patches and the changes seem pretty good on the whole. The kongor buffs look significant. I'm interested in watching some competitive matches now.

If played properly monarch is sooo strong; me and friend went Monarch/Slither and it was absolutely hilarious. The dot plus slow is insanely ridiculous early game

monarch though gets comboed down like a bitch so, a nuker with blink she becomes something to shit on, and unlike nymph of similar survivability she can't be hyper aggressive, nymphs ult helping those jump in. But god dam silences and s2 heroes lol

Never got the skill description on Monarch's first skill.

"Monarch assails target enemy's eyes with crippling pollen, causing it to be temporarily immobilized and silenced."

Why does having something thrown in your eyes silence and immobilize you? Was it previously a blind effect which gave you a 100% miss rate on your autoattacks and S2 never bothered to change it?

The silence/slow combo is quite evil, kinda forces you into Shrunken/Geo's/Null...Cooldowns are pretty sweet aswell.

doubtful considering when dota 2 beta keys were selling were only going for 30 50 bucks, i'm the same i have a diamond name taunts unlocked and about 40 ish alt avatars i'm just keep the account and play a game or two every 1 or 2 days.

Anyone have any insight on melee farmer starting items? hatchet shield tango or hatchet 2x tango/runes and 3 totems/branches? used to be a strong believer in the shield for more survival in lane but I've been experimenting with both recently and cant really tell which one is really superior. having the extra health and extra regen seems to also do well.
