I think the last second picks is what hurts most because your composition can really cost you the game from the beginning. Gotta communicate in the pre-game or else you're doomed to lose. Then try to keep a positive attitude throughout the game. Gotta realize that if NOBODY is warding not even your support, just gotta suck it up and ward yourself - your team will do better with a semi-carry warding and your support farming god knows waht rather than have nobody ward. At ~1670 even if you screw up really early, as long as not all the lanes are getting outfarmed and outplayed, the game is still recoverable. Just figure out how to adjust for everyone else. And the dead bottom worst scenario when you are trying to communicate with teammates via text/voice and they dont respond for the whole 2 minutes until the last second where they pick, antimage/madman/chronos/swiftblade/predator... And I love people without sound that bitch about not communicating.. =/ and blame you for not calling mia when everyone on the team but them got the memo..

if i am PL what items should i go for? Should i take the farm? Basically how the hell do you play PL in dota?
I was playing SB and i went boots+2bracer+vanguard and was sworn at over chat by my team. What items should i go instead? Note: Not pure pubstomper build, more of a slightly organized build.
Sorry i am a huge dota noob, played it extremely casually before i played/got into hon.
Also is furion the greatest hero or what?
PL is a massive farm whore, so take all you can get. Best build is something like: treads->vanguard->radiance->diffusal+heart+butter. Pub PL's will get terrible items like vlads or something. You should max your nuke first, use that to harass and in team fights as you main damage source until you have enough items to own by auto attacking. Use doppelwalk to escape and keep you from dying all game.
That build on SB is fine, vanguard on SB is a core item as it makes you incredibly hard to kill and allows you to tower dive.

Something i am puzzled about: how do you counter Devourer / Nymphora lane? I faced it just now and me and friend just got raped as valk / hammerstorm.. what heroes to pick, what to do?

What i find annoying is a nymphora nomad lane, nomads low mana cost charge that do shit ton dmg and has a large range to it make life a bitch.

Ok so i am not dumb, I think the pubs on BA (australian private server) are beyond bad. They were telling me about how a silencer is the best mid in the game.... I have no clue. might just go load up some other place soon.

Pretty much this. I also find Nomad to be incredibly difficult to lane against. And of course he becomes a powerhouse later in the game. Any advice on how to deal with him? Are there any heroes that make him easy to gank?

nymphora+anything is just a pain in the ass to lane against. i remember i used to just run blacksmith (or anyone with a target stun i guess)+nymph (easy/infinite chain stuns) and it got me up to something like 1780. unfortunately some 1800s actually pay attention to nymph ultis. *scoff*

You know what's good against nymphora/nomad/whoever you're having trouble with? A power supply and regen items. You can thank me later.

And when going against Nomad you can also bring a rev ward to make his life a bit harder. Damn I wish there was Pugna equivalent in HoN, his ward would rape Nymph, Armadon and so many others T_T

About to just start playing HoN again, and would love to get involved in some of these games. I have 2 accounts one which is 1850 MMR and the other 1800. I haven't played in around 4-5 monthes so I may be unfamiliar with new characters and additional changes.
You can contact me by pm through here or message me in game. 'Telio' is the name

Magebane proves he is the master of the flow of Magic around him, limiting the speed enemies can control it while damaging them if they cast. Level 1 : -15 Cast Speed, Damaged for 35% of abilities and items manacost when cast Level 2 : -20 Cast Speed, Damaged for 50% of abilities and items manacost when cast Level 3 : -25 Cast Speed, Damaged for 65% of abilities and items manacost when cast Level 4 : -30 Cast Speed, Damaged for 80% of abilities and items manacost when cast
cast speed vs mana regen and range of the ability
Nether Ward (W) Summons a Nether Ward that prevents enemy heroes from regenerating mana and can cast Mana Flare, which deals damage to enemy heroes as they cast spells. Lasts 25 seconds. Each level increases the area of effect of the Ward's Mana Flare, the Mana Flare damage, the negative mana regen and the hp of the ward. Level 1 - Ward has 75 HP, -1.5 Mana regeneration to enemies, Mana Flare deals 0.75 damage per each point of Mana. Level 2 - Ward has 150 HP, -3.0 Mana regeneration to enemies, Mana Flare deals 1.00 damage per each point of Mana. Level 3 - Ward has 225 HP, -4.5 Mana regeneration to enemies, Mana Flare deals 1.25 damage per each point of Mana. Level 4 - Ward has 300 HP, -6.0 Mana regeneration to enemies, Mana Flare deals 1.50 damage per each point of Mana. • Damage type: magical • Mana Flare is triggered when an enemy casts a spell and the damage is based on the spell's mana-cost. • Mana Flare deals the damage before the actual spell is cast, so if the target dies the spell will have no effect. • Area of Effect: 700/1000/1300/1600 Mana Cost: 80
Nether ward would probably self killed pyro against his staff boosted ult has some ridiculous mana cost attached to it.

Rampage can also smack the illusion to the end of it and hopefully cancel it out although it charges you still after it's been stunned which is just lol. Because stunning nomad not the illusion breaks the charge doing the + as

Witch deserves special mentioned against Nomad, Drain and Mini both instakill his illusions.

I think his ulti does too :o

did anyone read the "unmasking of s2" post on the forums before it got deleted?
edit: the post is quoted on dotallyrad.

If you mean this.

It sounds like an angry nerd who is totally 1600 because of S2's matchmaking when he's really 1900. Constant spelling mistakes, parts of it don't make any sense and the entire tone is angry and vindictive.
